Spiderman Punch Art

Here is another card from my Ovals Punch Art class. I CASEd Ellen Kemp's Spiderman for the most part. She used the retired small oval. I wanted to keep it current so where she used the retired oval I used one of the petals on the now retiring bloom petal punch(the announcement was made one week after my class).

• Spiderman is Pacific Point and Real Red, please note the spider web embossing folder is on the retirement list.

A fun Punch Art baby card.

This is the card we will be making on Monday, check back for details.

Spiderman

My granddaughter was invited to a birthday party for a little boy she knows, this is one of the cards I made for her to choose from.

• The card base is Pacific Point CS.
• I ran a piece of Basic Black and a piece of Real Red through the Big Shot using two of the new Ovals Collection Framelits. 
• I ran the Real Red piece through the Big Shot in the Spider Web Embossing Folder. After it was embossed I dragged the Stazon pad over the raised design. I then layered it onto the Basic Black oval and added it to the card base.
• Using the Large Oval Punch I punched two ovals from Whisper White and Basic Black CS. With Paper Snips I cut both Whisper White ovals at the same time then layered them on the Basic Black ones and cut those adding them to the web when I was done.
• On a scrap of Whisper White CS I stamped the happy birthday from Itty Bitty Banners in Pacific Point ink then cut it with the Bitty Banners Framelit. I layered it on a scrap of Real Red and snipped the ends to match.

In the end she didn't choose this one to give him. My son says the the eyes need to be bigger so I may try again and use the Wide Oval Punch instead.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Cuddles & Kisses

I love the new stamp set Cuddles & Kisses all the phrases are about babies.

• The card base is Whisper White with a front of Bashful Blue.
• I add reinkers and Dawn Dish soap to water to make colored bubbles and laid Whisper White CS on the bubbles to make my sky background. I layered it onto Pretty in Pink CS and added it to the front.
• I used a marker to make the line to hang the baby bundles on.
• Baby bundles use the smallest Oval punch, the heart and small circle from the owl punch the faces are the small circle from Punch Pack.
• The phrase was stamped in Not Quite Navy.

Angry Bird Gift Bag

Here is the gift bag and treat that I made to go with my angry bird card.  I used a $.50 gift bag.

•  I cut a half circle from a 5 1/3"x8 1/2" piece of Whisper White CS(I traced a bowl) and lined it up withe bottom front of the bag.
• I free hand drew the beak on Pumpkin Pie CS and added a triangle of Whisper White to it
•  The eyes were punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch with the bottoms repunched to give it cheeks. I used a 1/2" Basic Black circle for the eye balls. 
• The brow are tapered strips of Basic Black that start at 1/2" and taper down to 3/8".

a CASEd Angry Bird

I saw a similar card on Pintrest, sadly it had a broken link so I don't know who the creator was. I had already figured out most of the characters from the game but had decided how to use them. Then I saw the card!  Here is what I did.

• The card base is Tempting Terquoise with a front of Daffodil Delight.
• My punch art used the following punches for the charectors.
• Black Bird: 
• (1) 1 3/8 Circle in Black
  (1/2) 1 3/8 Circle in Gray
  (2) 1/2 Circles in Gray
  (2) circles from the Bitty Punch Pack in White
  (1) circle from standard Circle punch
  (1) sm Heart in Pumpkin
  Red, Black and Saffron scraps
• Red Bird: 
•  (1) 1 3/8 Circle in Red
• (1/2) 1 3/8 Circle in White
• (1) Boho Flower in Black
• (1) Boho Flower in Red
• (1) sm Heart in Saffron
• (1) sm Heart in Black
• (2) circles from the Bitty Punch Pack in White
• Cut punch pieces according to the picture and assemble. Use your Black Marker for the eyes.
• Pig:
• (1) 1 3/8 Circle in Olive
• (1) sm Oval in Olive
• (2) Boho Flowers in Black
• (2) Circles from the Bitty Punch Pack in White
• (3) Circles from the Bitty Punch Pack in Olive
• Blue Bird: 
• (1) sm Oval
• (2) circles from the Bitty Punch Pack
• (1) sm Heart in Pumpkin
• (1) Boho Flower in Turquoise
• Black scraps
• Make eyes with your Black Marker.
• Yellow Bird:
• (1)    Full Heart in Saffron
• (1/2) Wide Oval
• (1) Boho Flower in Black
• (1) sm Heart in Pumpkin
• (2) circles from the Bitty Punch Pack in White
• Red Scraps
• Cut punches according to the picture and assemble. Place white belly on top of heart punch and round the bottom with your Snips. Use you Black Marker to make eyes.
• The base for the punch art is a 3"x3" piece of Whisper White CS that I ran through the Big Shot in the Starburst Folder(retired)
• I layered it onto a piece of Old Olive and added two  1"x3 1/4" fringed pieces as grass.
• I made the banner from a strip of Whisper White that has a phrase from the retiring Hostess Set "Happiest Birthday Wishes" I colored the stamp with markers before stamping it onto the banner.
• So there is my card, I wish I knew who to give the layout credit to, sadly as fun as Pintrest is it often has broken links.
• I have redone the bottom of this post 3 times now and it still is posting strange. Sorry

Create a Cupcake!

Another card from last weeks Ribbon & Pearls class.

This card uses a retiring stamp, retiring paper, retiring tool and a retiring punch.

• The card base is Confetti White(retiring) With a front of Pretty in Pink
• I inked up the phrase from Create a Cupcake with Chocolate Chip and stamped it onto a scrap of Naturals White then ran it through the Big Shot with the smallest Label Framelit, I cut 2 more of the smallest Framelit out of Chocolate Chip, cut each in half in opposite directions and frames my phrase with them.
• On a 3" square of Regal Rose I stamped Fine Flourish(retiring) with Versamark and stamped it on the CS and embossed it with Iridescent Ice. I punch it out with the 2 1/2" Circle punch.
• I cut a strip of Chocolate Chip and a rectangle of Crumb Cake DSP from the Naturals Stack. I punched the strip with the Lace Ribbon Border punch (retiring) I threaded Regal Rose 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon through the center holes and tied a knot 2/3s of the way down.
• I used the Crimper(retiring) on a scrap of Chocolate Chip CS and punched it with the Cupcake punch I ran a scrap of Pretty in Pink through the Big Shot in the Elegant Lines embossing folder, then punched it with the Cupcake punch. The Cherry was punched from Real Red and Crystal Effects was added to make it shinny and rounded..
• I used a Sharpies to color the Pearls.

Smooches #2

I hope you stopped by our hop that we had over the week end, if not you might want to go to my previous post and check it out. There were some lovely projects.

Th retirement list came out yesterday and there are plenty of sets that will soon be gone, several that were on my wish list. Make sure you get the sets on your wish list before May 31st when they are gone forever.

Here is a card that I thought of using for the hop, we had discussed using Summer Smooches or retiring In Colors, I ended up using the retiring In Color cards and I posted one of my Smooches cards here . So now I thought I would share the second one.

• The card base is Daffodil Delight with the front edge cut with an Edgelit. I added a piece of Summer Smooches DSP.
• I cut a piece of Whisper White with a Label Framelit and cut a piece of Island Indigo with the next size up and layered them together.
• Using scrap of CS in the colors from the DSP I made a vase and flowers from punches. The punches used were 1" circle(vase), Itty Bitty Punch pack(flower), Owl(centers) bird punch(leaves).

A simple card that feels like spring! Have a wonderful day and find yourself some time to stamp.

Easter is Coming

For this years Easter class we made a card, basket and sucker covers, here is the basket and suckers.

• Basket instructions can be found at http://www.thelittleblueroom.com/2009/10/make-take-mondaya-little-late.html. I changed it to have one handle that I made using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch and used Pear Pizzazz CS for the basket.  The bunny has been around for a few years, I made mine with Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and Pretty in Pink CS
• I am sorry I can't find where I saw the sucker covers, I thought I saw it on Stampin' Connection the demo only site the Stampin' Up! provides. but I couldn't locate the picture(often I see a project that interests me and instead of hunting down instructions I figure it out on my own). The cover is made with the Two Tags die.
• I used the book mark looking tagcand used a 5" x 2 1/2" piece of Pool Party CS scored and folded it in half, placed it on the die with the fold just above the bottom cut line so that when cut the scallops are on both ends. I scored it just under the scallops and then punched a small hole in the fold. I scored it again 4 1/2" down from that score. 
• I made the the mini punch art pieces on 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punched CS. The egg is the Small Oval cut 1/3 the way down in a jagged cut, the chick is a So Saffron small flower from the Boho Flower punch the eyes are the sprinkles from the Cupcake Builder punch.
• The bunny is the Small Oval for the body, a 3/4" circle for the head and the ears are from the daisy on the Blossom Party die. The Tail is the small heart from the Owl punch.

Happiest Birthday Wishes

I added this card to the Tuesday Stamping Buffet.

• Card base is Lucky Limeade with the greeting from the Hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes was stamped on the base in Early Espresso.
• The cake is made with the following punches: 1", 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" square punches, tapered and corners rounded, Pinking Hearts Border punch, Cupcake Builder punch(candles) on a plate make with the Scallop Oval punch
• The middle cake layer was ran through the Big Shot in the Starburst embossing folder.
• CS used: Early Espresso, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Regal Rose, and Daffodil Delight.
• I added Dazzling Details to the candle flames.

Ornament Tag

I made these tags for my neighbor gifts. This was inspired by Sharon

• Base Silver 2 1/2" circle of Glimmer paper with a round tab at the top.
• first lolly is 1 1/8" CS vellum scored at 1/4"
• Next I sponged a Silver Glimmer Scallop Circle with Marina Mist.
• I add a 1/2" lolly again scored at 1/4"
• The largest of the Boho Flowers was punched from Silver Glimmer paper.
• Last an Antique Brad was added.

These are so shinny and pretty! I had to order more paper I liked them so much.

Punch Art Tags for Club

Yesterday was the last club day for 2011, so if you are in the Salem Utah area and are interested in joining a Technique Hostess Club contact me to join the 2012 Club.  For Decembers Club we made Punch Art Tags at the request of some of the ladies. Here are the four tags we made and the punches/dies used. I am not sure who the original ideas were for the different punch art, I thought I came up with the pemguin a few years ago, but noticed simular ones out there, the moose idea came from a card Lynn Pratt made a year or so ago. The rest are taken from a combo of many I have seen. Here are the 4 we made.

Paper Roses

Isn't that a Marie Osmond song?
These roses are made from card stock and the owl punch, the scallop circle punch or the Fancy Flower punch.  The roses have a coating or two of Crystal Effects.

The two roses that you can see on the box are the Fancy Flower Roses(the one in the back is the owl rose)

Build a Cupcake- Sale-a-bration

I used the paper, ribbon and buttons you can receive free with each $50 order during Sale-a-bration, remember it comes to an end at the end of this month.

• The cards base is Whisper White.
• I cut a piece of the DSP 5 1/8" x 2" and added it to the card front, I then wrapped the ribbon around it and tied it in a knot.
• I punched the cupcake in Melon Mambo, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight alternated the colors of wrapper, frosting and buttons they are popped up with Dimensionals.
• I stamped the Happy Birthday from Create a Cupcake, the stamp set that matches the punch, in Pacific Point. I punched it out using the Word Window Punch, adhered it to a piece of Daffodil Delight that was punched with the Modern Label punch, this was also added with Dimensionals.

So if I were to remake this I would run the frosting bits through the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines folder to add swirls to it.

Moose for Christmas

My card inspiration came from Lynn Pratt http://creatingthehive.com/blog-post/44192/lovie-birthday-mooses
I was putting the moose on tags at first but I had an extra and added it to the card.

• The card base is Whisper White with a front of Cherry Cobbler that I ran through the big shot with the Northern Flurry embossing folder.
• I stamped the phrase from Many Merry Messages with White Craft ink onto the front.
• For the wreath I punched a 1 1/4" circle into a piece of Garden Green CS and the punched the Scallop Circle around the hole I taped it onto the front and added pearls that I had colored red. The moose is Early Espresso with Crumb Cake for the rack, I popped him up with Dimensionals.

Tag- Punch Art

I decided that this year for neighbor gifts instead of the package of baked goodies (don't we always get to many of those anyway?) I would make packages of tags. Maybe with a saying like- When tagging gifts we fight great friends like you come to mind.  This is one of the tags that will be in the package.

• I used the Big Shot and the Two Tags Die.
• The tag is Wild Wasabi(I am using scraps so I have done other greens including some retired colors)
• I punched the face with the owl punch in Soft Suede, cutting the feet off with scissors.
• The antlers are Early Espresso using the Northern Frost Decorative strip from the Holiday mini, just snipping what I needed for the antlers.
• The eyes and nose are from the owl punch but for Rudolph I used the red glitter from Fine Galaxy.
• The mouth is hand drawn.
• The To: and From: are on the back.

Ornament Punch Elves

Here is another card from the Delightful Decoration class.

• The card base is Real Red, with a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Old Olive.
• On a piece of 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White, Welcome Christmas from "Heard from the Heart" in Real Red is stamped at the bottom with the smallest heart from the Heart to Heart punch popped up with a piece of Dimensional.
• The elves were made with the Ornement Punch, the Scallop Circle Punch, Heart to Heart punch and a 1/4" and 1/8" handheld punch-non SU.  The colors used are Pink Piroette, Old Olive, Real Red, More Mustard, Early Espresso, Whisper White, and Basic Black.

This card seemed to be the favorite. I'll post another of the cards soon.

This Week is all about CASEing!

• The base of my card is Baja Breeze with Marina Mist as the water on the lower half.
• The log is free hand cut from Chocolate Chip CS.
• The Frogs are punched with the Fancy Flower Extra Large punch from Certainly Celery, they are sponged with Wild Wasabi.
• The Grass is Wild Wasabi and Certainly Celery, again free hand cut.
• The Words were computer generated.

School starts tomorrow! Happy dance happening here, My oldest is going to school now and her daughter starts first grade, my youngest two, "the boys" are in 9th and 11th, so for the first time in 4 years my husband(works from home) and I will be alone for 4 hours every day!  Hope you all have a wonderful day and go check Ellen out.

3 More Pages for the Ronald McDonald House

Here are three more of the scrapbook pages, the post it notes have the information from the backs of the pictures, we have a neighbor that has amazing writing skills, she is transferring all the information to the pages for us.

Top page twin sisters: So Saffron, Ballet Blue, and Certainly Celery. The peas are punch art that I CASEd from Andrea Walford's blog.

Middle page: Micky and Minnie are on the little girls dress, so once again Punch Art- these I came up with by myself.

Bottom Page: This paper was retired designer paper from a couple of years ago, It was a Progression page sample, if you look at the page you will see that the little boy is on a 6" x 6" page, that page was than mounted on a 8 1/2" x 11" page, and last it was placed on a 12" x 12" page, I used this in a scrap booking class that covered all 3 sizes.

Life has been a little crazy around here, but I am trying to catch up and will try to do better posting, so please stick with me.
