Secret Garden
- The card base is Pear Pizzazz with the front of the card embossed with the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder.
- I stamped the flowers from Secret Garden was stamped on Naturals White CS with Versamark and Heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I used a Sponge Dauber to sponge Crushed Curry Ink on the centers of the flowers then worked out from the centers with Daffodil Delight Ink. I ran them through the Big Shot with the Secret Garden Framelits.
- On a piece of Naturals White CS I stamped the greeting from Bring on the Cake in Versamark and heat embossed it with Wild Wasabi Embossing Powder. I cut it with a Circle Collection Framelit and layered it on a circle of Daffodil Delight CS. I layered it on a Tea Lace Paper Doily and then layered it on the card base.
- I adhered two of the flowers and a leaf cut from Pear Pizzazz CS to the card base, I added Dimensionals to the back of the third flower and popped it up over the two flowers on the base.

- I stamped the greeting from Blue Ribbon in Pacific Point onto a scrap of Whisper White CS and the punched it out with the 1 3/8" circle punch and popped it up with Dimensionals and centered it in the embossed image.

Envelope Punch Board File Folder Birthday Card
I am loving the new Envelope Punch Board. For Club this month we made File Folder Cards. This is the card that I designed for club.
This is the card that we ended up with.
This is the card that we ended up with.
- The card base is Coastal Cabana CS. The sentiment on the tab is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp in Melon Mambo.
- Melon Mambo CS was run through the Big Shot and cut with the largest of the Apothecary Accents Framelit.
- On a piece of Whisper White CS we stamped Birthday Cake, colors are Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate and Daffodil Delight it was ran through the Big Shot and cut with another Apothecary Accent Framelit, we rounded the square corners with the corner rounder. We layered it onto the Melon Mambo piece and added it to the card front. Rveryone was able to choose the color of Candy Dots to embellish their card with.
- On a scrap of Whisper White CS they had a choice of stamping Wish Big from A Dozen Thoughts or the Happy Birthday from Banner Greetings. We flagged the ends and tucked it behind the image.
We had a lot of fun making these cards!

Love & Sympathy
Were you wondering if I'd ever post?
This card uses the new Circle Card Thinlits Die. I have always liked flip/swing cards but often found it difficult to line everything up just right. With the new Thinlits Dies it is easy! This card was done with the Faux Watercoloring Technique using the Love & Sympathy stamp set.

- The card is Marina Mist CS. I ran it through the Big Shot with the Circle Card Thinlits Die, it does the hard part by cutting and scoring all at once.
- On Watercolor Paper I stamped the iris from Love & Sympathy using the Faux Watercolor Technique(instructions in this post), and cut it out with a Circle Framelit. I attached it to the card so that when closed it is on the front.
- The sentiment is from Create a Cupcake and is stamped on Very Vanilla CS with Old Olive ink than punched with the Word Window Punch. I layered it on Old Olive CS punched with the Modern Label Punch. I added the smallest of the Pearl Jewels on both ends and added it to the card.
- I stamped an additional sentiment from Create a Cupcake on Very Vanilla CS again in Old Olive. I cut it with a Circle framelit and added it to the opposite side of the card.
- I added one each of the three small sizes of Pearls to the top curve of the card.
These flip/swing cards are so fast and easy to make!

Rev Up the Fun!
- The card base is Whisper White CS.
- I ran a 4" x 3 1/4" Baked Brown Sugar CS through the Big Shot in the Houndstooth Embossing Folder I attached it to a 4" x 3" piece of Whisper White over lapping them so that the finished size was 4" x 5 1/4" Front for the card base.
- I inked up the car from Rev Up the Fun with Real Red and the colored the wheels with the Black Marker. I used a Q-tip to remove the red from the hub caps and colored them Smoky Slate, I then stamped it on the White Panel. I inked up the phrase with Pacific Point and stamped it under the car.
- I stamped the banner from Hearts a Flutter once in Real Red, twice in Pacific Point stamping the on Whisper White CS and cutting them with the Hearts a Flutter Framelit. I made narrow banner from Daffodil Delight CS. I stamped the tread mark twice on a strip of Whisper White and attached the banners to it.
- I punched an opening in the Baked Brown Sugar CS then layer it over the card base and using Real Red Ink I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I the added Dimensional to the back of the Front and added it to the base.
I thought that the card turned out to be a fun Boy/Man Birthday card.
I have started updating my fall class schedule so make sure you check out the class tab at the top of the blog.

Blooming With Kindness
I had about an hour to stamp yesterday, I decided to do Emboss Resist.
- On a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White CS I stamped the flower from Blooming with Kindness in Versamark and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder.
- With Sponge Daubers I swirled Crisp Cantaloupe Ink over the flower and Pistachio Pudding over the stem.
- I used markers in the matching colors to ink up the sentiment from that same set and stamped it in the upper corner.
- I rounded the corners with the corner punch and then added Dimensionals to the back and popped it up on a Whisper White card base.
It was fast and easy and the first time I have used those two In colors.

Stampin' UP! Convention and Llama Swaps
Strange Title huh?
Stampin' UP! convention started yesterday in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was unable to attend this year but the Opening Ceremonies were streamed live and recorded for us to share. So if you are interested here is the video.
I was able to meet my Llama Friends for a long lunch in SLC and we swapped cards so I will be sharing them over the next few posts.
The first one I received was from Buffy, she was also the first Llama I met.
Here are some details as I see them:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Soft Suede and Basic Black
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Soho Subway DSP (remember DSP is buy 3 get one free until the end of July)
Punches:Word Window, Modern Label, Pansy
Misc: paper doilies(sponged), Crumb Cake 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Large Pearls. Basic Pearls, Little Leaves Sizzlits.
Love Buffy's Cards I've been following her blog since she started it.
You might wonder why we call ourselves Llamas so here is our story(it's a long one) as I remember it...
Stampin! Up! has a demo forum that demos can chat, ask questions share idea etc. in theory a great idea but it doesn't always run smoothly. They have several categories/topics that they have a short description of what you should be able to find in that category sadly not everyone reads what they are and since there is not a board moderator (strange huh?) the board was and still is a mess. The top category is the default dump for any thread started that does not have a category selected at the time of posting. In an effort to make questions easier to find and answer and in an effort to make the un-moderated board more useful Darrah started a thread explaining how to locate categories and tag posts. In an effort to keep that information at the top of the board several of us started "bumping" the thread but after a few "bumps" we started chatting thus keeping the thread alive and at the top. SU! finally added additional categories and Darrah moved the thread to "All About You" and renamed it the Wacky Women's Watercooler (a place to stop and talk just like an office watercooler in days gone bye. To make it easier to find and because the interesting conversations we had(one all about Llamas, from weaving their wool? to raising them and more) Darrah added the word Llama to the tags because she was pretty sure nothing else would have that tag. So many of the original participants started referring to ourselves as Llama, some of us have a Llama as an Avatar.
We wanted a place to talk about everything going on in our lives and so we started a site where we can meet and talk about life and Stampin' Up, a place we can vent about anything or share our joys and know that someone else is happy for us. Together we started blog hopping and have a site with links to all our hops http://stampinllamas.blogspot.com/. The watercooler is still there, faces and tones have changed since the day(Dec 2, 2010) it started, some of the originals still stop in from time to time. The watercooler will be having their own hop very soon here is the landing page for it http://wackywatercoolerstamping.blogspot.com/
Any way after 2 1/2 years as on line friends I was able to meet a few of them in person yesterday, it was a fun afternoon!

For the Newlyweds
I made another Wedding card to add to my rack. White and Strawberry.
- The card base is Whisper White CS layered with Shimmery White CS. I rounded the corners on both pieces.
- The cake is three different sizes of rectangles of Whisper Whiter CS with the top corners rounded. I ran each rectangle through the Big Shot with a different Embossing Folder. I used Beautifully Baroque, Perfect Polka Dots and from the upcoming Holiday Catalog(sneak peek) Stylish Stripes Embossing Folders,
- I added Strawberry Slush In color Ribbon to the bottoms of each rectangle then cover the seam where the CS overlapped the ribbon with a strip of the pearls. I layered the rectangles to make the cake and used Dimensionals to pop the cake on the card front.
- I punched a pile of flowers from a scrap of Whisper White CS using the flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, using a foam mat and the stylus from the Simply Scored Board a cupped the flowers the added a small Pearl that I had colored with a sharpie. I added a pile of flowers on top of the cake and a small cluster on each layer of the cake,
- I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes on a scrap of Whisper White CS with Strawberry Slush Ink I cut it out with a Bitty Banners Framelit. I popped it with Dimensionals at the base of the cake.
I think if I remake this card I will make the cake slightly smaller.

CASEing Pinterest punch art
Here is a link to my Pinterest punch art pin.
- The card base is Real Red CS layered with Pacific Point CS.
- I ran a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White CS through the Big Shot in the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. I used the Decorative Label Punch to punch an opening in the CS.
- I made the punch art following the directions I found on Pinterest changing the color from baby colors to:
- Giraffe- So Saffron and Baked Brown Sugar.
- Lion- Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede.
- Elephant- Smoky Slate and Basic Gray. I also used the Elegant Butterfly Punch for the ears.
- I added the punch art pieces peeking through the opening in the CS and layered it onto the card base.
- In a scrap of Whisper White CS I stamped the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners inking the stamp with Real Red and Pacific Point markers. I cut it out with the Itty Bitty Banners Framelits and used Dimensionals to pop it up on the card front.
I'm still trying to catch up on filling my card rack.

Mr & Mrs
I thought I'd change things up and share a wedding card!
- The card base is Whisper White CS. I added a layer of Coastal Cabana CS.
- On a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Shimmer White CS I stamped the Mr & Mrs in Coastal Cabana than quickly poured on Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder(next time I will stamp the stamp in Versamark than in the Ink) I heat embossed it so that is has some sparkle. I added this to the layered card base.
- Using the smallest heart from both the Hearts Collection and Hearts a Flutter Framelits I cut hearts from the Silver Glimmer Paper. I also punched hearts with the small heart punch and the heart on the Owl punch. With a sponge dauber I added Coastal Cabana Ink to about half of them. I used Glue Dots and Dimensionals to add these to the card.
I liked how the card turned out. and plan to make a couple more using different colors.

Birthday Cake
Still making birthday cards this one uses a "single" stamp set.
- The card base is Coastal Cabana CS.
- I used Melon Mambo, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry Markers to color the stamp, I then stamped it on a piece of Whisper White CS. I used the Labels Collection Framelits to cut it out as well as cutting a piece of Melon Mambo CS a size larger. I sponged Bermuda Bay around the edges of the Whisper White CS before layering it onto the Melon Mambo and adding it to the base.
- On a scrap of Whisper White CS I stamped the phrase from A Dozen Thoughts with Bermuda Bay Ink. I used a Apothecary Accents Framelit to cut it out using the magnetic base it was easy to move the framelit to make it smaller so that it would fit inside one that was cut from Melon Mambo. I sponged the edges of the Whisper White with Coastal Cabana Ink.
One more card to add to my rack.
I thought I'd share how I store my Bakers Twine.
I don't like the bend that the cardboard leaves in the Bakers Twine so I save the empty spools from work and wrap the twine around them. I punch a circle from matching CS and adhere it to the ends. These fir over a peg on my peg board. I have been able to do all of my Bakers Twine as well as giving them to my customers so that they can do theirs.
Have a wonderful day!
