Rev Up the Fun!

  • The card base is Whisper White CS.
  • I ran a 4" x 3 1/4" Baked Brown Sugar CS through the Big Shot in the Houndstooth Embossing Folder I attached it to a 4" x 3" piece of Whisper White over lapping them so that the finished size was 4" x 5 1/4" Front for the card base.
  • I inked up the car from Rev Up the Fun with Real Red and the colored the wheels with the Black Marker. I used a Q-tip to remove the red from the hub caps and colored them Smoky Slate, I then stamped it on the White Panel. I inked up the phrase with Pacific Point and stamped it under the car.
  • I stamped the banner from Hearts a Flutter once in Real Red, twice in Pacific Point stamping the on Whisper White CS and cutting them with the Hearts a Flutter Framelit. I made narrow banner from Daffodil Delight CS. I stamped the tread mark twice on a strip of Whisper White and attached the banners to it.
  • I punched an opening in the Baked Brown Sugar CS then layer it over the card base and using Real Red Ink I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I the added Dimensional to the back of the Front and added it to the base.
I thought that the card turned out to be a fun Boy/Man Birthday card.

I have started updating my fall class schedule so make sure you check out the class tab at the top of the blog.

CASEing Pinterest punch art

Here is a link to my Pinterest punch art pin.

  • The card base is Real Red CS layered with Pacific Point CS.
  • I ran a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White CS through the Big Shot in the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. I used the Decorative Label Punch to punch an opening in the CS.
  • I made the punch art following the directions I found on Pinterest changing the color from baby colors to:
  • Giraffe- So Saffron and Baked Brown Sugar.
  • Lion- Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede.
  • Elephant- Smoky Slate and Basic Gray. I also used the Elegant Butterfly Punch for the ears.
  • I added the punch art pieces peeking through the opening in the CS and layered it onto the card base.
  • In a scrap of Whisper White CS I stamped the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners inking the stamp with Real Red and Pacific Point markers. I cut it out with the Itty Bitty Banners Framelits and used Dimensionals to pop it up on the card front.
I'm still trying to catch up on filling my card rack.

The back ground is Baked Brown Sugar CS ran through the Big Shot in the Houndstooth Embossing Folder.
On this card I ran a piece of Crumb Cake CS through the Big Shot in the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and the lightly sponged Soft Suede Ink over it.

Hedgehog Happiness and sneak peek of two New In Colors

As some of you know my children breed Hedgehogs between two of my kids they have three female hedgehogs, we are looking for an unrelated male so that we don't have to pay stud fees anymore.  One of my good friends sent me the retired hedgehog stamp sets, they are so cute!  Anyway I have played with a few of the images so you will see them here from time to time.

  • The card base is one of the new In Colors, Summer Starfruit, that will be available on June 1st. I ran it through the Big Shot with the Hounds-tooth Embossing Folder.
  • I stamped the Hedgehog onto Watercolor paper with Stazon I colored it with markers and an Aqua Painter.  The balloon is another of the new In Colors called Midnight Muse.
  • I used the Curly Label Punch to punch the top corners of the image as well as the Midnight Muse CS that it is layered on.  I added it to the card base and was done.
I think it makes a cute birthday card and I am really loving the Midnight Muse!

Turtle & Co

Wow, we have been being sick at my house!  I got it first and can I say I don't remember ever being this ill ever.  The fevers of 102 really just wiped me out.  I am slowly getting back to normal, but my husband and both sons are still in the midst of it.

This is a fun get well card and $3 from every set sold goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charities so when you buy the set you really are helping others!

  • Card base is Always Artichoke with a front of Pear Pizzazz(retiring soon so stock up).
  • On the Pear Pizzazz front about 1" from the bottom I stamped the phrase using Always Artichoke. After stamping I ran it through the Big Shot in the Houndtooth Embossing folder, I think it gives the feel of a turtle shell.
  • I stamped the turtle on Watercolor Paper with Stazon.  I colored the image with Ink and an Aqua Painter using the same two greens as the paper. I used Baja Breeze as the shadow to keep the turtle from just floating on the paper.
  • I added small googly eyes over the stamped eyes as a fun detail. The image is layered on Always Artichoke.
I hope all of you are well and that no catches what we have here at my house!
