Spiderman Punch Art

Here is another card from my Ovals Punch Art class. I CASEd Ellen Kemp's Spiderman for the most part. She used the retired small oval. I wanted to keep it current so where she used the retired oval I used one of the petals on the now retiring bloom petal punch(the announcement was made one week after my class).

  • Spiderman is Pacific Point and Real Red, please note the spider web embossing folder is on the retirement list.
Accessories on the retirement list are beginning to run out so get your orders in as soon as you can so that you don't miss out!

April Shower Springtime Hop

I have missed the last couple of hops that my friends have done, so I am happy I was able to hop this time.  We officially start at 9 pm. You may have hopped over from my friend Marsha's blog, I am sure that you enjoyed seeing her projects.
I made two cards today. The first card uses two stamp sets- Blooming with Kindness and Made for You.
  • The card base is Very Vanilla, I used Delicate Designs Embossing Folder on the bottom edge.
  • On a piece of Canvas Creations I repeatedly stamped the image from Blooming with Kindness in Rose Red. I used the Large Scallop Edgelit on the bottom edge. I layered it onto the Rose Red CS, then onto the card base.
  • On a scrap of canvas I stamped the flower again in Rose Red and the I stamped the phrase from Made for You in Raspberry Ripple. I used the Large Oval Punch to punch it out. I punched a scrap of Rose Red with the Scallop Oval Punch attached it to the card front then popped the phrase up with Dimensioals on the scalloped oval.
The second card uses Wonderful Mother, Hearts a Flutter and the Artisan Embellishment Kit.
  • The card base is Marina Mist,
  • I used pieces from the Artisan Embellishment kit on this card.  I added the dollie first.
  • On a scrap of Primrose Petals  I stamped the heart from Hearts a Flutter in Whisper White Craft ink and heat embossed it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder then cut it with the Hearts a Flutter Framelit. I added it next.
  • On the tag from the kit I Stamped the phrase from Wonderful Mother in Raspberry Ripple and heat embossed it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. I added it over the dollie and heart.
  • Next I popped the tag up with Dimensionals.
  • I Layered the two laces next with Sticky Strip from the kit. I then added Midnight Muse Ribbon over it again using Sticky Strip.
  • The button from the kit came next, then a Vintage Faceted Designer Button and a Large Pearl Jewel.
Your next stop is to my friend Jeans blog. I hope you enjoy your visits along our hop.

Oval Punch Art

Last Wednesday was my monthly punch art class. We concentrated on the Oval Punches.
We made several Punch art items suitable for cards or scrapbooking and each lady that came had a tutorial to add to their binders. Here is my favorite as well as a few others that came.
I used a retired stamp for the card that I kept just for this punch art piece. The only punch not an oval for goofy was the Word Window. Want to buy a tutorial with pictures let me know.

I've had a busy week sadly it wasn't busy stamping.

Last night I was watching a webinar for the upcoming Stampin' UP! catalog. I am truly loving so much that is coming and will be missing some of the things that are going away. I will be losing at least 25 of my stamp sets, I know it will be more and will have to wait until the retirement list posts on Wednesday.  I do not know what Holiday sets will be retiring they are moving all the holiday sets from the main catalog and only having them in the holiday mini.

So while some favorites are going so many more that I LOVE are being added.  Just a warning many of the Big Shot items will be retiring as well as some punches so you might want to order now before they are gone.

CASEing Pinterest Again

I saw another card on Pinterest and decided to CASE it but using Stampin' UP! products.

  • The card base is Whisper White layered with Always Artichoke.
  • I stamped the stem from Field Flowers(left off one stem) onto a Canvas Sheet in ALways Artichoke.
  • I stamped the phrase from Loving Thoughts in Stazon over the bottom of the stem.
  • I ran a couple of scraps of Canvas Sheet through the Big Shot using the Blossom Party Die. I folded the daisy in half and attached it at the top of the stamped stem.
  • For the center of the flower O punched a 3/4" Circle of Daffodil Delight, repunching it with the Small Oval punch, I heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder a couple times and added it to the flower.
I think it makes a pretty card.

The first image they were dripped on Glossy White, the second on Whisper White and the last on the Canvas sheet.

Here are the cards

  • The card bases are Whisper White layered with Tempting Turquoise the Basis Black the inked papers are popped up with Dimensionals.
  • The phrases are from Perfectly Penned and stamped with Stazon.

Helping a friend.

I have a friend that works with unwed mothers that are or have given their babies up for adoption she want something to give the girls at different times as they go through this experience. We have been using up a lot of my retired Designer Series Paper making ribbon pulled wrapped chocolate bars(google it if you don't know what these are) We have been making takes to go on them as well.  Here are two of the tags we made.
We also made birthday tags but I didn't get pictures of them. We made about fifty of them.

  • This tag starts with Naturals Ivory CS for the tag.
  • I used markers to color the stamp from Postage Due and then stamped it on the tag.
  • The phrase from Blessings From Heaven was stamped in Raspberry Ripple and added to the tag
  • This tag is Naturals White CS
  • The flowers from Elements of Style was stamped with Elegant Eggplant.
  • On a scrap of Naturals White I stamped the phrase from a past Sale a bration set in Crushed Curry and punched it with the Curly Label Punch, then sponged Garden Green around the edges and popped it up with Dimensionals.
So that is what I've been working on lately. What are you creating?

Pear Pizzazz

Have you heard they are bringing back Pear Pizzazz with the new catalog!
And who doesn't like Pear Pizzazz with Soft Suede?

  • The card base is Whisper White layered with Pear Pizzazz then Soft Suede ant then Whisper White.
  • On the Whisper White front I stamped the phrase from Loving Thoughts in Soft Suede.
  • On a scrap of Whisper White I stamped En Francais in Soft Suede that had been stamped off once. Over that I stamped the flower from Love & Sympathy in VersaMark and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. I sponged Pear Pizzazz over the image then ran it through the Big Shot with the Ovals Collection Framelits.
  • Last of all I popped the image up on the front with Dimensionals.
So are you happy that Pear Pizzazz is coming back?

Trust God

I'm excited about the coming Color Refresh I decided to use some of the returning ink.

  • The card base is Crumb Cake with a front of Calypso Coral.
  • I ran a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Crumb Cake CS through the Big Shot into the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, then wrap a piece of lace from the Artisan Embellishment Kit around it and added it to the the front.
  •  I had a Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral Marker so I used the Color Spritzer Tool to Splatter the coming colors onto a strip of Glossy White CS. Using Soft Suede Ink I stamped a phrase from Trust God onto the splattered Glossy White CS and added it over the lace.
  • Using Stazon I stamped the bee from Natures Walk 3 times onto Vellum CS and colored the bee with the Crushed Curry marker and cut them out and added them to the card front.
As you can see I'm having fun with the coming colors!
