Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 121 - Anything Goes Challenge

Every 5th Wednesday is an Anything Goes Challenge.

We want to see what you are working on so link up your project.  Here is my challenge sample.
I must confess when I saw the new In-color Lemon Lime Twist online I did not like it.  It came in my pre-order and can I tell you I love it! In real life, it is a color that makes me happy!

The cardstock I used is Thick Whisper White, Shimmer White, Lemon Lime Twist and Flirty Flamingo.  I stamped the image from Bright Wishes with Basic Gray on the shimmer paper and colored the image with a combination of Markers and Watercolor pencils. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Garden Green. This card is available to make in this weeks card class.

Dragonfly Dreams

I created today's card to see if it was possible to make the dragonflies pop up in the same was Lyssa Zwolanek did with her butterfly card.

I wanted a copper dragonfly for the front of my card but had to make several attempts at designing a layout before I came up with this.  I used the stamp set Touches of Texture for the background. I sponged Crumbcake ink on the Whisper White piece and stamped the images with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. The Bees are Soft Suede stamped off once. The cardstock is Whisper White and Soft Suede.

I cut the dragonfly wings out of cardstock Vellum and colored the wings with eyeshadow, it gives the wings a nice shimmery look.

The "Hello" is from Eastern Beauty and is stamped with Soft Suede and sponged with Crumb Cake, with a strip of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon behind it.

The dragonflies on the inside were heat embossed with copper and then watercolored. They were cut with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.

So if you made it this far I have a problem that I need help with.  I had to factory reset my computer and I can't remember the name of the photo editing program I had been using.  What is an easy to learn and use program for mostly cropping photos but also simple edits? Please comment and let me know. Thanks, Kath

Colorful Seasons & I Think I'm back!

The last few years have been eventful health wise!  My health has made stamping slow but things are looking better.  Last summer I was driving down the highway (55 MPH) when I passed out. I drove approx. 1-mile unconscious, good news I did not wreck! Turns out my blood pressure (normally very low) was 179 over 99 and I was in tachycardia.  After months of every heart test that they can do all that was found was I have a very healthy heart!  Things are back to normal and I'm back to doing all the things I was doing in the past.

So here is the first card I have made in a long time that isn't for our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge posts.

The cardstock I used is Soft Sky (chair), Soft Suede (branch), Flirty Flamingo & Pink Pirouette (blossoms) Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo & Pool Party (card base and layers). The ink is Pool Party. I cut Dimensionals in thin strips to pop the chair up.

This set is bundled stamp and framelits in the upcoming catalog and will be available to order on June 1st, just 6 more days and the catalog is live.  If you would like to place an order you can contact me or order from my store found at   http://kathallthatscrap.stampinup.net.

Thanks for visiting!

Watercooler WednesdaycChallenge 120 - Gail's Christmas Challenge

Gail's challenge this week is a Christmas card! It's never too early to start working on Christmas cards, beats waiting til the last minute and stressing about them.
My card for the challenge is one that my sister gave me several years ago. She has always loved fat little birds.
I used Thick Whisper White card stock and stamped the image with Basic Gray then colored it with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.  Season's Greetings is stamped with Old Olive Ink. I mounted the image on a piece of DSP on a Thick Whisper White card base.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 118 - Penny's "Mom" Theme Challenge.

It was Penny's turn to challenge us and she challenged us to make a card for mom.

The last few years have been hard when Mother's Day rolls around, my mother is still living but no longer remembers me. Luckily I still remember her.

This card is Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, and Elegant Eggplant.
I used the Timeless Tags Thinlits as well as the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The stamp is from That's the Tag.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 117 - Heidi's Feminine Anything Goes Challenge

We've added a new challenge to our Lineup! Heidi is hosting us with a Feminine  Anything goes challenge!
Here is the card I made for the challenge.
The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Whisper White. Faux watercoloring is the technique I used for the image I used from Touches of Texture.
Overall this card feels crisp and fresh to me.  This card will be available for our next card class.
