Paper Flower Burlap Wrapped Wreath

I had so much fun with the Blossoms and Blooms I had fun making this one from scratch.
My husband had both his knees replace two weeks ago, I have had a few good friends that have been helping out, running errands, bringing meals etc. I am making paper flower wreaths as thank yous for these friends.

For this one I used the Blossom Party as well as the Fun Flowers Dies for the flowers, I also used the fringe scissors for the flower centers as well as the yellow mum-like flowers.

The largest flower is Strawberry Slush CS.
The blue flowers are made with Island Indigo CS, Bermuda Bay CS and Coastal Cabana CS with Early Espresso CS centers.
The coral flowers are Calypso Coral CS and Crisp Cantaloupe CS with Early Espresso CS centers.
The daisy flowers are Whisper White CS with Crushed Curry CS centers.
The leaves are from Secret Garden Framelits as well as an ornament from the Ornament Framelits. I used Old Olive CS and Pear Pizzazz CS.

This is for my neighbor/friend Deena. It matches perfectly with her decor.

Card in a Box

For club we made birthday cards in a box. On of my fellow blog hoppers shared the instruction on her blog.
We followed her instructions for the shorter box/card.

  • The box is Island Indigo CS with Daffodil Delight and Raspberry Ripple CS for the panels
  • The banner is Gingham Garden Washi Tape
  • The phrase on the front flap is from Label Love and colored with markers before stamping with Island Indigo, Raspberry Ripple and Crushed Curry, it was popped up with Dimensionals
  • All the sayings and the cupcakes are attached to Window Sheets. the sayings came from the following sets: Bring On the Cake, Remembering Your Birthday, Just Saying and Tag It they were cut out with the Word Bubble Framelits
My son saw it and asked if he could have it to give to his girlfriend on her birthday.
My daughter came from California to help out for a couple of weeks while her dad, my husband, had both of his knees replaced. she made this for her friend back in California.

We had fun making them.  I made the first box in more manly colors for my boss for his birthday, he loved it!

Sorry the posts are few!

My husband had both knee replace a week ago. It is keeping me busy getting him and the house ready for him to come home next week. I do have a project to photograph and share as well as projects for next weeks blog hop.  Soon everything will settle down and I will do better posting.

Here is a photo of my husband recovering knees.
