Vintage Verses

So my box from Stampin' UP! came yesterday and I was able to spend some time in my stamp room. Here is one of the cards I made.
+
I used products from the main catalog as well as from the Spring and Sale a bration catalogs.

  • The card base is Naturals White with the bottom ran through the Big Shot with one of the folders from  Delicate Designs Folders then the bottom was cut with the Large Scallop Edgelit.
  • I ran a piece of Pretty in Pink through the Big Shot in the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder(carried over to the Spring catalog) I layered it on a piece of Lucky Limeade.
  • I stamped the phrase from Vintage Verses(Sale-a-brations) in Island Indigo onto a piece of Naturals White and cut it with a framelit in the Hearts a Flutter set.
  • The flags were cut from Tea for Two DSP using framelits from Hearts a Flutter and Itty Bitty Banners.
  • The Brad is my favorite from the Vintage Brads.
There it is my first card back from about a month of no stamping. I hope you are as excited as I am for the new year and the new catalogs.

I started a part time job a couple of months ago and for the month of December it has been full time plus some! Sadly as you can see my blog has suffered. I do have a week off and a box coming tomorrow. I should soon have things back to normal and posting fairly regular again, please continue to be patient. Thanks for stopping by.

Ornament Keepsakes Swaps

This card came from Stephanie Osgood.
This card is lovely in its simplicity. The Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake are lovely together.

This card came from Buffy Cooper and uses the same stamp set and Framelits as the first card but gives a totally different feel.

Whisper White, Midnight Muse and Silver so elegant! (You have to tilt your screen just so or it looks black not blue)

Santa's Pants

My club met today and this is what we made:
As a Christmas Gift to you here are the directions.

  1. Cut a 12" x 12" strip of Real Red, Riding Hood Red or Cherry Cobbler CS with the Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die. Line the top edge of the CS so that it lines up just below the decorative edge so that it stays a straight edge.
  2. Cut a 12" x 1/2" strip and a 1/2" square of Basic Black CS for belt
  3. Cut a 3/4" square of Brushed Gold CS for the belt buckle.
  4. Cut two 1/2" strips of RR, RHR or CC CS for suspenders.
  5. Cut a 12" x 1/2" strip of Whisper White, run it through a Crimper. This will be the trim at the bottom of the pants.
    • Center the Basic Black square in the center of the Brushed Gold square. Wrap the Basic Black strip around the top of the box then center the squares over it in the middle of the front.
    • Wrap the Whisper White strip around the bottom of the box and don't for get to add the black line to form pant legs.
    • On the front and back side of the Treat Box draw a straight line down the middle with a Basic Black marker.
    • Build Box
    • add the Real Red suspenders to the box, attaching the ends on the inside of the box.
    • Fill with treats.
