Mr & Mrs

I thought I'd change things up and share a wedding card!

  • The card base is Whisper White CS. I added a layer of Coastal Cabana CS.
  • On a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Shimmer White CS I stamped the Mr & Mrs in Coastal Cabana than quickly poured on Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder(next time I will stamp the stamp in Versamark than in the Ink) I heat embossed it so that is has some sparkle. I added this to the layered card base.
  • Using the smallest heart from both the Hearts Collection and Hearts a Flutter Framelits I cut hearts from the Silver Glimmer Paper. I also punched hearts with the small heart punch and the heart on the Owl punch.  With a sponge dauber I added Coastal Cabana Ink to about half of them. I used Glue Dots and Dimensionals to add these to the card.
I liked how the card turned out. and plan to make a couple more using different colors.

Artisan Embellishment Kit

This is the second card from our class earlier this week.

  • The card base is Naturals White, the front is Crumb Cake DSP from the Naturals Paper Stack. I used a retired punch without realizing it. Fortunately My friends were good about it they said they could always stop in and use mine. :)
  • I added the heart shaped Dollie from the Kit first then started layering.
  • I stamped and embossed the hearts from Hearts a Flutter on Island Indigo and Primrose Petal and then cut them out with the matching Framelit. Then added them next.
  •  Using the matching markers I inked up the stamp from One in a Million and stamped it on Natruals White and cut it with the matching Framelit. After it was cut I sponged the edges with Primrose Petal Ink. I attached the ticket from the Kit behind the heart and added it to the front.
  • I sandwiched a piece of the Seam Binding between two piece of the lace and attached it to the back of the Heart from the Kit and added it last.
I really hope that you use your embellishment kits. There are so many fun things to make with it.  Leave me a link so I can check out what you have made.

Another Artisan Embellishment Kit (Wedding)

So yesterday was my "Love is in the Air II" classes. Thanks everyone that attended the two classes. Here is the first card we made.  We used elements from the Artisan Embellishment Kit to make this card.

  • The card base is Crumb Cake with a front of Crumb Cake DSP from the Neutrals Paper Stack. I sponged the edges of the DSP with White Craft Ink
  • The doily went on first, then a Pool Party heart stamped and embossed from Hearts a Flutter and cut with the matching Framlit.
  • The tag from the kit was stamped and embossed with the phrase from Word Play then the edges were sponged with White Craft Ink, this was added next.
  • The Seam Binding was pleated on a strip of sticky strip, the Primrose Petals lace was added behind and on the lower edge, then one scallop of the wider lace was added behind it all. This was added over the bottom of the tag.
  • The larger flower was added using 4 or 5 glue dots, then the ticket was added with the Pool Party button added to the corner.
So I hope you are inspired to buy and motivated to use the Artisan Embellishment Kit.  Let me know if I can order one for you.

Magic Snowflake Club Valentine Card

So I'm leaving town until Monday so I thought I would share the card that I chose to teach the Magic Snowflake Technique in club(and yes everyone ordered the Hearts a Flutter bundle) I hope you aren't disappointed in the card I chose.

  • The card base is Whisper White, a front of Pretty in Pink layered with a piece of Crumb Cake that was run through the Big Shot in the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.
  • I used the Hearts a Flutter stamp set to do the technique, the reinkers I used were Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Rose Red. I used the Hearts a Flutter Framelits to cut them out.
  • I really didn't string the banner, I only added the bows at both ends to make it look like it. The hearts were popped up with Dimensionals.
  • I stamped the "Love" from Pennant Parade in Rose Red on Whisper White and puched with the Jewelry Tag punch I tied it to one of the bows.
So I hope that you like the card I chose!

Magic Snowflake Technique Card II

So this is the next try for a card for my club to make.

  • The card base is Whisper White with the front of it embossed with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.
  • I cut Melon Mambo CS, Whisper White CS, Rose Red CS and Regal Rose CD with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit;
  • I cut a banner flag from Melon Mambo DSP. I used the Window Frame Framelit and the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder on Regal Rose CS.
  • I stamped the phrase from Wacky Wishes in Melon Mambo on Whisper White CS and punched it with the Wide Oval punch I popped it up with Dimensionals on the Regal Rose Widow Frame Collection.
  • I embossed the large heart from Hearts a Flutter and used Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Rose Red re inkes to do the technique. I cut the heart with the matching Framelit.
So I rejected this card as our project.

Magic Snowflake Technique

So this (Magic Snowflake) is this months technique for club over the next few days I will show you the cards I decided not to do for club and then I will post the card we made.

So this is my first idea

  • The card base is Whisper White with a front of Rose Red layered with Cherry Cobbler.
  • On Glossy CS I stamped the phrase from Wacky Wishes(Hostess Set) and did the Magic Snowflake Technique using Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo and Rose Red.
  • I made a Cherry Cobbler band across the front with a Adorning Accent folder layered on Whisper White that was cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelit,
  • On Whisper White I stamped the heart from Heats a Flutter in Rose Red and Cherry Cobbler and added them to the card.
So this was card number 1.

Vintage Verses

So my box from Stampin' UP! came yesterday and I was able to spend some time in my stamp room. Here is one of the cards I made.
+
I used products from the main catalog as well as from the Spring and Sale a bration catalogs.

  • The card base is Naturals White with the bottom ran through the Big Shot with one of the folders from  Delicate Designs Folders then the bottom was cut with the Large Scallop Edgelit.
  • I ran a piece of Pretty in Pink through the Big Shot in the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder(carried over to the Spring catalog) I layered it on a piece of Lucky Limeade.
  • I stamped the phrase from Vintage Verses(Sale-a-brations) in Island Indigo onto a piece of Naturals White and cut it with a framelit in the Hearts a Flutter set.
  • The flags were cut from Tea for Two DSP using framelits from Hearts a Flutter and Itty Bitty Banners.
  • The Brad is my favorite from the Vintage Brads.
There it is my first card back from about a month of no stamping. I hope you are as excited as I am for the new year and the new catalogs.
