There's Only One You

Here is another valentine from my January class:

  • The card base is Whisper White with a front of Pool Party Core-dinations CS that I ran through the Big Shot in the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder embossing the top 3/4 of the front. The clouds were lightly sanded.
  • I ran a strip of Real Red Core-dinations CS through the Big Shot in an Adorning Accents Embossing Folder and lightly sanded it.
  • I stamped the phrase from Vintage Verses (found in the Sale a bration flyer) in Real Red  near the bottom of the card.
  • I used five Real Red and one Whisper White large hearts cut from the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit, the Red hearts have white Bakers Twine strings and the White heart has Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine string.
  • I added a taffeta bow to the strings.
This card could be a Valentine, a birthday or a just because card.

I Dig You

Here is another card we made at class, this was my Granddaughters favorite.

  • The card base is Crumb Cake with a front of Island Indigo CS and a layer of Whisper White.
  • On the Whisper White I sponged Crumb Cake at the bottom and lightly sponged Pool Party for the sky.
  • On a scrap of Whisper White I stamped the truck from I Dig You in Real Red with Basic Black wheels, I cut it out and popped it up with Dimensionals.
  • I filled the back with hearts cut with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit, letting some spill over.
  • I stamped the phrase from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Island Indigo.
I hope you enjoy the card and are busy making your Valentines.

Magic Snowflake Technique Card II

So this is the next try for a card for my club to make.

  • The card base is Whisper White with the front of it embossed with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.
  • I cut Melon Mambo CS, Whisper White CS, Rose Red CS and Regal Rose CD with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit;
  • I cut a banner flag from Melon Mambo DSP. I used the Window Frame Framelit and the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder on Regal Rose CS.
  • I stamped the phrase from Wacky Wishes in Melon Mambo on Whisper White CS and punched it with the Wide Oval punch I popped it up with Dimensionals on the Regal Rose Widow Frame Collection.
  • I embossed the large heart from Hearts a Flutter and used Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Rose Red re inkes to do the technique. I cut the heart with the matching Framelit.
So I rejected this card as our project.

Out West- Valentine

Our only store in town is a combined Grocery/Ace hardware store, but we were happy when it opened 2 1/2 months ago.  They are going to be carrying my cards for sale. I have been busy making cards to replace the cards my granddaughter sold at Christmas time, with Valentines coming up I have been making a wide variety of cards. Here is one using Out West.

  • Card base is Marina Mist with a front of DSP (from the holiday mini so sadly no longer available).
  • On a piece of Very Vanilla  CS I stamped the cowboy with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and Clear Embossed it. I then cut it out with the Label Framelits, I layered it on a piece of Chocolate Chip CS cut the next size up.
  • The phrase is computer generated and printed on Very Vanilla, the hearts (Very Vanilla and Real Red) were punched one with the lg Heart Punch and one with a Framelit Heart.
  • The Embossed hearts in the upper corner are Very Vanilla, Real Red and Chocolate Chip(my granddaughter spent an hour in my craft room running CS through the Big Shot using up a lot of my scraps, she even sorted them by size into a divided box) cut with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit from the Occasions Mini.
I have already sold some of this one and it hasn't even made it to the store yet.
