Trust God

I'm excited about the coming Color Refresh I decided to use some of the returning ink.

  • The card base is Crumb Cake with a front of Calypso Coral.
  • I ran a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Crumb Cake CS through the Big Shot into the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, then wrap a piece of lace from the Artisan Embellishment Kit around it and added it to the the front.
  •  I had a Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral Marker so I used the Color Spritzer Tool to Splatter the coming colors onto a strip of Glossy White CS. Using Soft Suede Ink I stamped a phrase from Trust God onto the splattered Glossy White CS and added it over the lace.
  • Using Stazon I stamped the bee from Natures Walk 3 times onto Vellum CS and colored the bee with the Crushed Curry marker and cut them out and added them to the card front.
As you can see I'm having fun with the coming colors!

CASEing Pintrest

I tried photographing this card a couple of times but could not get a good picture of it. I saw a card on Pintrest that was a one layer card the butterflies on it were not Stampin' UP!.

  • The card base is Naturals White.
  • I used a butterfly from Nature Walk and one from Papillon Potpourri. I stamped them along the right edge using Pool Party, Midnight Muse and Lucky Limeade inks.
  • The phrase is from Blooming with Kindness, stamped with Midnight Muse.

Nature Walk

This is a card I recently taught in a class and it wasn't until the middle of the class that I realized that I used a retired punch 8(.

  • The card base is Lucky Limeade with the front of the card ran through the Big Shot with the Framed Tulips embossing folder.
  • Using markers I colored the stamp with Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade and stamped it onto Very Vanilla CS, the bee was stamped with Stazon and then colored with So Saffron. The CS was then ran through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice embossing folder. The image was then layered onto Rich Razzleberry CS and then onto the front of the card.
  • The phrase is from Delightful Dozen stamped with Rich Razzleberry onto Very Vanilla CS then punched with the 1 1/4" circle punch. It was layered onto a Designer Label(retired) punched piece of Rich Razzleberry and then layered onto a piece of Old Olive 1 3/8" circle this was added to the front of the image.

CASEd Nature Walk

This is one of the cards I CASEd using Nature Walk. the original was done by Lisa Young. http://addinkandstamp.blogspot.com/2011/01/not-time-to-be-cheap.html
Here are some details on mine
  • Card Base is Always Artichoke
  • Six squares of Watercolor paper punched with the 1 1/4" square punch. Each stamped with a portion of a stamp from Nature Walk, using Stazon. Colored with Markers and an Aqua Painter.
  • Six 1 3/8" squares punched from Pacific Point, six square cut 1 1/2" from Cajun Craze. These were layered with a finished image.
  • I cut a piece of Chocolate Chip 3 1/2" x 5" ran it through the big shot in the Square Lattice folder. Layered all on the card base.
Thanks Lisa for the inspiration piece.

Nature Walk

I love the images from this set from the new Occasions Mini.  I have seen some cute Vintage Collage  cards, not my style but one I want to try.  Until then here is one that I have done.
  • Card base is Marina Mist, with a front of Very Vanilla.
  • The flower image and the bee were both stamped with Stazon on Watercolor Paper, the bee was punched with the Tag punch. I colored the images with Markers and an Aqua Painter. I layered both images on Daffodil Delight CS.
  • The flower was layered twice the bottom layer is Marina Mist CS that I ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots folder, then added to the front of the card.
  • The bee was added overlapping the flower image.
I like the clean look of this card, I have CASEd two other cards using this set and will post them for you in the upcoming days. If I achieve a Vintage/Collage card that I like I will post that as well.
