Pleasant Poppies
I bought the background stamp Pleasant Poppies several months ago but this is the first time I have used it.
- The card base is Very Vanilla CS that has Pleasant Poppies stamped on it in Stazon(my favorite black).
- On Watercolor Paper I stamp the clump of poppies that are on the left side when stamped, I used Stazon so I could use an Aqua Painter and Ink to color it. I used Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry and Pool Party inks.
- I layered the image onto Old Olive CS and layered it onto the card base,
- I stamped the phrases from Petite Pairs in Pear Pizzazz on a scrap of Very Vanilla CS and punched it with the 1 1/.4" Circle punch. I punched a 1 3/8" Circle of Real Red to layer it on and used a Dimensional to pop it up on the card.
So glad that these two stamp sets are not retiring.

Sale a bration starts today!
I used the Feeling Sentimental stamp set from the Sale a bration flyer and That's the Ticket from the Spring Catalog for this card. I wish it photographed better (I am going to build a light box again, while I was away last summer mine disappeared)
I wanted to try the chalkboard look.
- The card base is Whisper White with layers of Island Indigo, Raspberry Ripple and Basic Black CS.
- I stamped the phrase from Petite Pairs in White Craft on the upper corner of the Black and the image from Feeling Sentimental inn the opposite lower corner. With a cotton ball I swiped so White ink to make eraser smudges.
- On a scrap of Whisper White CS I stamped the ticket in Raspberry Ripple and then punched them out. The flags are cut from Summer Smooches DSP, I strung them on Island Indigo Bakers Twine (I only noticed as I posted the some of the twine popped out, I will fix it before I add it to the "for sale" cards).
So remember for every $50 you spend you can pick a Sale a bration item!

Moving Forward
I needed a baby card for my Card Buffet so this is what I came up with.
- The card base is Whisper White with the lower third embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder.
- I colored the stamp of the boat from Moving Forward with markers and stamped it on a scrap of Whisper White and then cut it out with the Windows Collection Framelit. I layered it onto a Gumball Green CS cut the next size up. I added a Vintage Trinket brad into the lower curve off the Gumball Green CS.
- I layered the image onto a square on Daffodil Delight CS that was layered onto a square of Marina Mist CS then added it to the front of the card.
- I stamped the Welcome, baby from Petite Pairs in Marina Mist on a scrap of Whisper White and punched it out with the Modern Label Punch, I sponged the edges with Gumball Green then added a strip of Linen Thread to hang the phrase from the brad.
I hope you like this card, have a great day and go ahead and stamp something!

Herringbone- All White
I have been playing with the Herringbone technique we did this month in club and I thought I would share with you over the next few days some of the results. Here is an all Whisper White Card.
This card was so pretty in real life (it was sold with in 30 minutes of completing.
This card was so pretty in real life (it was sold with in 30 minutes of completing.
- The card base is Whisper White with a front of Textured Whisper White CS.
- I ran Whisper White CS through the Big Shot with different Embossing Folders and with Texturz™ Plates. I then cut them into strips 1/8" to 3/8" wide.
- The herringbone design was done by cutting a piece of Whisper White CS 3 3/4" x 5" and layering it with a piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet cut the same size. I then filled the design in with the strips I had cut. I then popped it up with Dimensionals on the card front.
- The Basic Black CS was sprayed with Champagne Shimmer Paint Spray and cut with the Label Framelit.
- Best Wishes is from Petite Pairs and it was inked with Versamark stamped onto Whisper White CS and embossed with Black Embossing powder that had BlackFine Galaxy Glitter mixed in. When Embossed the word were sparkly black. I punched the words out with the Small Oval punch and then added to the Basic Black piece then centered on the card.
I hope that you like this card, herringbone is a fun design and a great way to use up scraps of DSP or even CS.

Happy New Year!
On our demonstrator forum there has been many discussions on CASEing

there are a wide range of opinions from it is OK to CASE to you should never CASE, fortunately more are for then against. Pretty much everyone agrees if you CASE you must credit who you are CASEing. Now sometimes I have a problem doing that. . . and the cards I am sharing today are cards I made that I know might be a CASE, but I didn't bookmark the idea. Why didn't I? Well as I scan blogs looking at what others have done I am usually looking at layouts and color combo not necessarily looking for something to CASE, but sometimes I will see a card that makes me decide to buy a stamp set that I don't already have, I guess we all have done that. Now sometimes by the time I order the set and then get the chance to use it I don't have anything but a memory of what I saw that made me decide to buy it, I have no idea how close these cards are to the one that inspired me to buy them but here they are, if you recognize them let me know I'd like to be able to compare what I have done with what inspired me to buy the set.
First up Field Flowers, I had marked this as a set I liked but hadn't bought it until October of last year, I bought it because I saw a card that "spoke to me" and though I couldn't find it when I had the set this is what it reminded me of.

- The card base is Very Vanilla
- Front of Basic Black under Very Vanilla
- Hello Doily is stamped with Crumb Cake and the Field Flowers are stamped with Versamark and embossed in Black, Very Vanilla Seam Binding is knotted around the front
- Best Wishes from Petite Pairs was embossed and punched out with a 1" circle, it is popped up with Dimensionals and the tiniest of the Pearls are added under the words
The next card uses stamp sets I had, I know that the color (purple isn't a color I use often) and lay out are the same but I am pretty sure that the card I had seen used different stamp sets.
- Card base is Perfect Plumb
- Front of Elegant Eggplant under Confetti White
- The rose spray from Elements of Style was stamped with Elegant Eggplant
- An oval of Elegant Eggplant was cut with the Ovals die and the Big Shot, a piece of the scallop polka dotted ribbon was attached to the back of the oval and it was popped up with Dimensionals on the card
- Thank you was stamped with Elegant Eggplant and stamped onto a strip of Confetti White that had the ends punched with the corner of the Curly Label punch it was added to the oval and Rhinestones were added to the ends.
So here are the two card that I made last year that how closely they are CASEd I am not sure, whoever you are that inspired me to make these cards I thank you!
So have a Happy New Year!
