Artisan Embellishment Kit-II

So if you have signed up for the Love is in the Air class  here is another sample of what you can make with the leftovers from the kit.

• The card base is Very Vanilla with a Front of Rose Red layered with a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Very Vanilla that was ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Folder.
• I wrapped a piece of the Seam Binding, then a piece of Lace around one of the Tags in the kit. I popped one of the Tickets over it with Dimensionals. 
• I used a hot glue gun to attach one of the Roses onto the tag.

Fast and easy!

Summer Afternoon

A new Hostess Set, great for Watercoloring!

The Hostess Set is called "Summer Afternoon".

• The card base is Whisper White.
• I stamped the image with Stazon onto Watercolor paper I colored the image with markers using an Aqua Painter to move the colors around. The cart is Raspberry Ripple a new In Color, and one of my favorites! I punched the image out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch.
• I die cut a Gumball Green CS 3" Circle with the Big Shot. Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper folder. The image was layered onto it.
• I stamped the phrases from "Petite Pairs" in Raspberry Ripple onto scraps of Watercolor paper and punched them out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch they were layered onto Primrose Petals CS punched with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch.
• The image was popped up with Dimensionals.

I think this is a "happy" card. I hope you enjoyed it.

On a personal note... I have started my summer job working at a Boy Scout Camp so I will be posting every Sunday until the middle of August, if I get time I will post in between. I didn't want anyone to think that  I was stopping my blog, I just won't have the internet during the week. 

Hedgehog Happiness and more sneak peek colors

A Thank you card this time...

• The card bases are Island Indigo with the fronst ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Folder.
• I stamped the images on Watercolor paper with Stazon then punched one with the 2 1/2" circle and cut one with the Label Framelit.  I colored the images the same using markers and an Aqua Painter.The three new colors I used are Raspberry Ripple (love it!) for the bow, Primrose Petals for the flowers and Gumball Green for the Leaves.
• The card on the right is layered on Raspberry Ripple and the one on the left is on Primrose Petals.

So here is a picture on my youngest sons Hedgehog

a little blurry but she's still cute, this was taken in January so she's a little larger now.

Love & Sympathy

This was a fun card to make and but changing the sentiment it could me Mother's day or Birthday or no sentiment at all.

• The card base is Very Vanilla(this is what I mostly use if I am using Watercolor paper) with a front(popped up with Dimensionals) of Very Vanilla that was ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.
• I cut a piece of Marina Mist with the Label Framelit and a piece of Watercolor paper with the next smaller Framelit.
• I sprayed the Watercolor paper lightly with water, then with the image from Love and Sympathy, colored with markers I stamped it onto the paper and let it bleed, then I dried it and re-stamped the image over the first one.
• I stamped the phrase in Not Quite Navy and stamped it on a scrap of Very Vanilla CS then cut it with a Label Framelit. I sponged the edges with Marina Mist and popped the phrase up with Dimensionals.

I really like this technique as an easy Watercolor.

Today's card uses two Sale a bration items (one more month to get free items with $50 orders before shipping & tax)

• Card base is Very Vanilla with the front embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder, 1/4" was cut off the front and a 1/2" of Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB) was added to the inside of the the card back.
• The image is from From the Fresh Vintage stamp set (SAB) was inked with Lucky Limeade and stamped onto Naturals Ivory CS, it was re-inked with Poppy Parade and stamped onto a scrap of the same paper. I cut out the flowers with paper snips.(When I remake this card, and I will, I will color the smallest flowers with a marker when I stamp it the first time and only cut out the 3 largest flowers) and popped the lager ones up with Dimensionals and the smaller ones with balled up mini glue dots. This was layered onto Poppy Parade then onto Lucky Limeade CS. 
• Thanks is from Thank You Kindly and was inked with Poppy parade and stamped onto another scrap of CS and then punched with the Decorative Label punch, layered onto a Lucky Limeade label, this was added behind my image piece so the the Thanks shows. The image was then added to the card front.

Happy Birthday America!

I thought this was a fun birthday card, It uses one stamp set and the Cupcake Builder punch.

• The card base is Whisper White with a front of Pretty in Pink that I ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.
• I ran a scrap of Whisper White through the Big Shot using the Manhattan Flower folder, I then punched it with the Cupcake Builder Punch, that way I had swirls for the frosting
• I ran Cherry Cobbler CS through the Crimper and then punched it out so that the cupcake wrapper was pleated, and Finally the Cherry is Poppy Parade CS that has Crystal Effects on it.
• The Cupcake was popped up on a Pretty in Pink oval using Dimensionals.
• The oval was placed on a rectangle of Whisper White that had Happy Birthday stamped in Cherry Cobbler at the bottom, the Whisper White was mounted onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler CS and then was added to the card front.

My order from the new catalog should arrive tomorrow, I can't wait!

Pretty Postage

The new summer mini has a cool new punch! The Postage Stamp punch, there is even a stamp set that coordinates with the punch.

• The card base is Pear Pizzazz with a front of Rich Razzleberry that was run through the big shot with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.
• The image from the Pretty Postage is of raspberries, I colored the stamp with the Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry markers and stamped it onto Whisper White and punched it out with the new Postage Stamp punch.
• The image was layered onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry punched with the Square Scallop. It was then layered onto Basic Black that was ran through the Big Shot with Scallop Rectangle Clearlit with a narrow Taffeta ribbon in Rich Razzleberry tied around it.
• The layered image was added to a square of Pear Pizzazz that was ran through the Big Shot with the Finial Press folder then was layered onto a piece of Basic Black.
• The square was added to the card front.

Thanks for Caring

Both of these cards use the same stamp from the set Thanks for Caring found in the Occasions Mini (10 more days Left to order from this Mini)

The top card

•  Card base is Baja Breeze with a front of Whisper White that was ran through the Big Shot with the Finial Press folder.
• The Top Note Die was used cut a piece of Not Quite Navy and then it was ran through with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.
• The oval was cut with the Ovals die and then stamp with the phrase using NQN ink. It is popped up with Dimensionals.

The bottom card

• The card base and all the layers are Whisper White.
• Layer one was ran through the Big Shout with the Square Lattice folder.
• Layer two was ran through with the Vintage Wallpaper folder and the corners were punched with the Ticket Corner punch.
• The oval was cut the same as in the top card but was sprayed with Frost Shimmer Paint spray and stamped with Marina Mist.
• Pearl Jewels were used at the corners that were punched out.

Birthday Bakery

I love the line of cakes from the Birthday Bakery Set!
• Fold the half sheet of Very Vanilla CS, place one half into the card base into the Vintage Wallpaper folder and run through the Big Shot


• Using Stazon stamp the cake onto the Watercolor paper using markers and an Aqua Painter paint the cakes, color used, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Real Red and Melon Mamba

• Layer the image first on Melon Mamba CS then on Pear Pizzazz CS

• Add the mounted image to the card front

• Add a phrase to the inside if desired

I am using up photos of cards that I have on hand but haven't posted, I have new cards that I need photos of but my oldest son who uses my camera the most has some how lost the memory card from the camera.  Needless to say I'm not a happy Mom.

Teddy. . . baby card

This card is made from the Teddy and Train stamp set.  The only colors on this card are Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery, and Crumb Cake.

• The card base is Very Vanilla, with a layer of Certainly Celery and then a layer of Very Vanilla that has Bundle of Joy stamped in the lower corner in Certainly Celery, then the CS was ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.
• A 1" x 5" piece of Very Vanilla was ran through the Big Shot with the Finial Press folder, then layered onto a piece of Certainly Celery CS I knotted a piece of Crumb Cake Seam Binding around the two layers then added it to the card front.
• I stamped the bear on a square of Very Vanilla and layered it onto a square of Certainly Celery and added it to the card.

This is a very fast and easy card to make. I think it could be for either a baby boy or girl.  I hope you have a wonderful day and can find time to stamp(holiday, kids home who knows. . .)

Delightful Decorations

My Delightful Decorations class is today one this morning and one this evening we will make 2 each of 4 cards.  I had made this card to be one for my class, but  forgot about it and made four others,  I will show some of those in the next few days.

• The card base is Very Vanilla sprayed with champagne shimmer paint spray, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.
• I stamped two of the ornaments from the Delightful Decoration stamp set on Very Vanilla paper that I had sprayed with Frost shimmer paint spray. I stamped one in Always Artichoke and one in Cherry Cobbler.  I punched them out with the Ornament punch
• I ran a rectangle of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper folder, I layered it onto Always Artichoke CS and Cherry Cobbler CS then added it to the card front.
• I adhered the Cherry Cobbler ornament directly to the Very Vanilla CS and then layer the Always Artichoke one off center with Dimensionals.
• I added the Pearl Jewels to both of the Ornaments.

So this is the card we did not end up making in class :).

Just Believe

This is a fast and easy card!

• The card base is Whisper White.
•  The front is Daffodil Delight then another layer of Whisper White ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper folder, a Whisper White ribbon is tied around the front and tied in a knot, then added to the card base.
• The flowers are stamped in Daffodil Delight on Whisper White, over stamped with the phrase in Stazon.  The image was then layered on Daffodil Delight and then added to the card front.

Birthday Bakery- Cakes

I think this Hostess Stamp Set is fun! 
I often find that when I cut Watercolor paper for classes I get odd sized scraps. This stamp set works on a lot of those, the Watercolor paper I used on this card as well as the card in the last post were leftovers from cutting for other projects.

• Card base is Very Vanilla( I tend to use Very Vanilla whenever I use Watercolor paper). The Front is Very Vanilla that was run through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper folder.
• Using Stazon I stamped the cakes on Watercolor Paper and colored using Markers and an Aqua Painter, this seems to be my favorite way to watercolor lately.
• I layered my image on Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo(photo color is off), then layered it on a piece of Very Vanilla that I ran through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice folder, centering it on the card front.

I think this is a fun birthday card. What do you think?

Just Believe/Newlyweds

Yes another fast and easy card!

• Card base is Very Vanilla with a front of Soft suede ran through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper folder, I decided to use the debossed side for a different look.
• I sprayed the piece of Very Vanilla CS with Champagne Shimmer Paint Spray then I stamped the image using Soft Suede ink.
• I layered the image on Early Espresso and mounted it with Dimensionals.
• On a scrap of Very Vanilla CS Istamped a phrase from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Soft Suede, punching it out with the Word Window punch.  I layered the phrase on a piece of Early Espresso punched with the Modern Label punch. This was mounted overlapping the image on one side and with a Dimensional on the other.  I added two of the smallest Pearls to the ends of the Modern Label.

Baby Tees- girl

This is a card that I made in early July for open stamping Tuesdays, I thought I had posted it, but didn't seem to be anywhere.

• The card base is Whisper White with a front of Pretty in Pink ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.
• The baby tee was stamped on Pink Pirouette with Regal Rose and cut out.
• I popped the Tee on a square of Whisper White with Dimensionals, layered it on a piece of Pretty in Pink.  I punched a strip of Whisper White with the Eyelet Trim and added it to the Regal Rose.
• I centered the image on the card and was done.

Fast and easy.

Just Believe

I love this Stamp Set!

• Card base is Very Vanilla, with the right half of the front ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.
• I added a strip of Always Artichoke along the lest side of the card.
• I colored directly on the stamp with Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke markers stamping it onto Very Vanilla CS.  Get well wishes is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler.
• The image is layered it on Cherry Cobbler CS.
• Ribbon was dyed with Cherry Cobbler reinker. and added to the card.

Let me know what you think of this card, it is one of my favorites that I have done recently.

Occasional Quotes- Baby

It was a busy week end around my place, two of my daughters were home, bringing friends along with them. The Scout camp that my two sons worked at, closed down for the season on Saturday, so now they are home.  It was nice to have everyone here.
Here is a fast and Easy card made with "Occasional Quotes"

• The card base is Very Vanilla with a 4" x 5 1/4" front of Pear Pizazz.
• I ran  a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with the Finial Press folder a 1" x 5" Very Vanilla through in the Antique Wallpaper folder adding it to the front. I layered the 1" piece on Pear Pizazz and tied a piece of Very Vanilla ribbon around it.
• The phrase was stamped on Very Vanilla with Pear Pizazz, layered on Pear Pizazz.

A fast and simple card. Come over on any Tuesday and you can make this card.

Occasional Quotes

I am really liking the Level 3 Hostess "Occasional Quotes" it is full of the best sayings for every occasion!

• The base for this card is Very Vanilla, with a front of Riding Hood Red that has been run through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.
• I stamped the phrase in Riding Hood Red and then with the black marker I colored the word Wonderful, then I stamped it on Very Vanilla CS, punching it out with the 1 3/4" circle punch.
• The Designer Series Paper is "Love Letter" I used the Circles#2 Die (largest circle) for the circle mat, let it hang over the front, cutting it so the edge stayed straight. I added the stamped phrase to this, adding 3 of the Rhinestone Jewels under the words.
• I cut two small strips of DSP and cut the ends with a V, layering them and adding it behind the circle.

This is one of the cards for Tuesday Open Studio, the hours for this day are 10a.m. to 2p.m. and 7p.m. to 9p.m.
