The Wacky Watercooler

Wacky Watercooler New Catalog(ue) Blog Hop

Welcome to our hop! You may have just come from Jeanne's blog and if you have I'm sure you enjoyed her projects. If you are starting here just keep clicking until you make your way back to me.

My first 3 projects use the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit(133507) on page 31 of the Holiday Catalog.
I made the create banner for my craft room. I used Sponge Daubers for all my stenciling. The colors I used are Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Rose Red. I strung the banner flags from Rose Red Seam Binding.

The next banner is a work in progress, I won't be finishing it until I hold my banner class because I will be using it for demonstration purposes.
I did this banner in Real Red and Encore Silver. I used the Red and Silver Glimmer papers and the now retired snowflake die. I layered the snow flake either Silver, Red, Silver or Red, Silver, Red. The centers of the snow flakes have a Vintage Faceted Designer Button with Rhinestone centered on it. Santa Banner stamped with Santa's List found on page 31 of the Holiday Catalog.

The Halloween Banner uses Most of the pieces from the Halloween Simply Created Accessory Kit, page 31. I couldn't use the Summer Starfruit pieces.
I made additional Lollies from DSP the Pumpkin Pie piece is from Quatrefancy Specialty DSP and Old Olive is from the DSP Stacks. I stenciled with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant and Stazon.

My last project is a card using Truly Grateful stamp set found on page 19 of the Holiday Catalog.
The card base is Naturals White I stamped the panel stamp with Baked Brown Sugar. I cut banner cut strips of CS in Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler. I banner cut Cherry Cobbler Chevron Ribbon as well as Cotton Ribbon. I Stamped Happy Birthday from Create a Cupcake on the Cotton Ribbon in Early Espresso. I layers all the banners together an topped the off with two stamped acorns I used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Cajon Craze for the acorn.

Llama Mini Blog Hop

Many of our Hop friends are busy this time around so we are have a Mini Hop. We are sharing items from the Holiday Catalog.

My first two cards are birthday card using items from both catalogs.
  • The card base is Very Vanilla.
  • I used the wood paneling from Truly Grateful stamp set found on page 19 of the Holiday Catalog to stamp the card base with Baked Brown Sugar.  I also stamped it on Baked Brown Sugar CS that I cut as a banner flag.
  • I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler CS as a banner flag.
  • I stamped the phrase from the Hostess set Express Yourself in Cherry Cobbler on a strip of Very Vanilla CS, then cut it as a banner flag.
  • I stacked the flags starting with the Cherry Cobbler flag, than added a piece of Natural Trim, than the Baked Brown Sugar flag, last the Very Vanilla flag.  I added the largest button from Naturals Designer Buttons with Linen Thread threaded through the holes. Adding it all to the card base,

The

  • The card base is Whisper White with a front of DSP from Season of Style DSP Stack found on page 22 of the Holiday Catalog.
  • I stamped the phrase from Bring On the Cake in Cherry Cobbler on a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out with the Circle Collection Framelits, I layered it onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler CS cut the next size larger and added it to the card front.
  • I layered Season of Style Designer Washi tape on a scrap of Whisper White CS and punched 2 circles with the 3/4" Circle Punch. I covered a retired button with a second strip of tape from the same bundle. I threaded Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine through the button Holes. I added them overlapping on the sentiment,

  • The card base is Whisper White, I ran it through the Big Shot cutting an opening with the Labels Collection Framelits. I ran it through a second time in the Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder. I added a piece of Seasons of Style DSP on the inside of of the front of the card.
  • On the piece of Whisper White CS cut out from the front of the card I stamped the phrase from Christmas Messages found on page 34 of the Holiday catalog. I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed it with a mixture of Cherry Cobbler EP mix with a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds to make it sparkle. I re-cut the piece with the next smaller Framelit. I then popped it up with Dimensionals on the DSP.
I hope you enjoy our small hop, the bloggers are:
