Punch Bunch- Sale-a-bration- Last day

My first blog post was on March 31, 2008, Hopefully my blogging has improved since I started and hopefully it will continue to improve. I signed up to be a demonstrator on  April 26, 2007.  I thought maybe it was time for blog candy!  So leave a comment on my blog and I will draw from those comments left from today until April 10th. On to todays card.

Today is the last day of Sale-a-bration so I am showing a card using the free Punch Bunch set

• The card base is Very Vanilla that has a front Made of two pieces from the DSP Blueberry Crisp. I punched a piece of Basic Black CS with the Scallop Ribbon Punch and used it to cover up the seam.
• I used the ribbon punch to make the frame of Pacific Point CS.
• The Happy Birthday is stamped on Whisper White with Pacific Point and punch out with the Scallop Square punch. It was layered on a square of Basic Black and again on Whisper White then added to the frame.

I started this post at 8 am and now it is 4:30 pm and I am finally able to finish and post it. Remember to leave a comment if you are interested in winning the stamp set.

Water Cooler Swaps part 1

The first card was made by Debbie Martin, I was so impressed and stumped by her card. I recognized the small circle stamp with the friend phrase on, it is from the Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch set. but the nest image wasn't one I recognised, I wondered if it was a retired set which was possible since the only restriction was 4" x 5 1/4" base.  Check out her blog if you want the answer. http://cleverandcute.blogspot.com/2011/03/felted-cardstock-technique-tutorial.html

The second card is from Jean Fitch one of the most helpful and knowledgeable Stampin' UP! demos I know!  She has answered so many of my questions since I started as a demo.  It has been awhile since I stamped on ribbon, in fact I forgot all about doing that, I believe I might add that as one of the things to show at our next club meeting.  Jeans card can be found on her blog. http://jlfstudio.wordpress.com/2011/03/18/silhouette-in-red/

Not all of the Water Cooler Swappers have blogs but I thought I would start with two of the ladies that do.  I wish you could see these cards in person they are much more wonderful in real life, in fact if you want to see them come on over.

22 days of Sale-a-brations left!

This card uses two different things from the Sale-a-brations catalog, the Punch Bunch stamp set and the Ice Cream Parlor DSP.

This baby card is fast and easy to make!

• The base of the card is 4 1/4" x 11" Whisper White folded in half with a 3"x4" piece of DSP attached to the lower half of the card, the front was then ran through the Big Shot with the Framed Tulips folder.
• I knotted a piece of Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain ribbon around the card where the upper edge of the DSP is.
• The tag from Punch Bunch was stamped on Whisper White with Peach Parfait and punched with the small Tag punch layered on the larger tag punched from Peach Parfait CS. I used a safety pin from Vintage Trinkets to attach the tag to the knot in the ribbon.

Punch Bunch- Sale-a-bration

The lay out and color choice were inspired by a card made by Lisa Young, using Tiny Teacup http://addinkandstamp.blogspot.com/2011/01/sale-brate-with-stampin-addicts-blog.html 

• Card Base is Crumb Cake with a front of Love Letters DSP I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake.
• I ran some Basic Black CS through the Big Shot and attached it to the card base with part hanging off the card, then trimmed it to fit.
• I punched a 2 1/2" circle from Crumb Cake and 1 3/4" circle from Basic Black and attached them off center.
• Using Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Basic Black markers directly on the stamp, I stamped the image onto Very Vanilla CS and punched it out with the 1 3/8" circle, then added it to the card as well.

Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch

This is the card that we made for February's club meeting. It isn't my usual style. but it was fun and everyone seemed to like it. There were tons of new things that they hadn't tried yet on this card.  Almost everyone of them picked this stamp set for their free set.

• The card base is Crumb Cake onto the front of the card we splattered Early Espresso and Pumpkin Pie ink. We did this by filling the large tipped Aqua Painter with Rubbing Alcohol and picking up reinker ink and flicking it onto the card front. We stamped the swirled image from Elements of Style in both Early Espresso ans Pumpkin Pie. Then splotchy sprayed shimmer paint spray here and there.
• We layered a piece of Peach Parfait DSP on Early Espresso CS, punched the edge with the Scallop Trim Boarder punch. then cut a V from the bottom of it and attached it to the card front.
• We used markers to color the poppies, using Old Olive for the stems and Pumpkin Pie and Poppy Parade for the flower. This was stamped onto Very Vanilla CS and punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch.  We added Sticky strip to the back of the image and pleated Early Espresso Satin ribbon around the edge of it.  This was added to the card front with Dimensionals.
• We used Crumb Cake Seam Binding to make the ruffled bow, this was done by tying a bow and then fraying the ends and pulling one of the frayed threads to make it ruffle up. We attached this with a Mini Glue Dot.e
• We chose a phrase from Tiny Tags and stamped the on Very Vanilla and punched with the Jewelry Tag punch. and tied it to the bow with Linen Thread.
