Perfectly Penned

One of the girls that went to school with my daughter just got married her colors were red and silver. For her shower I gave her a card keeper and a collection of cards, along with general occasions I made a  dozen Thank Yous.

  • Card base is Whisper White, with a front of Real Red.
  • A layer of Whisper White sprayed with Frost Shimmer Paint Spray was ran through the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines folder, leaving the top 1 1/4" out.
  • Using Versamark and Cherry Cobbler embossing powder(mixed with fine red glitter) I stamped the Perfectly Penned thank you in the top flat space.
  • I wrapped a 1/4" strip of Silver Glimmer paper around the Whisper White at the break line.

Love is in the air!

It is Wedding season and these are my first wedding gifts.  The first picture is the rose I used instead of a bow:
  • I used Very Vanilla CS for the rose, I sprayed the CS with Champagne Shimmer Paint spray and after punching the ornaments out I sponged the edges with Soft Suede and then resprayed them.
  • The leaves are Ornaments punched from Old Olive and then folded in half and then ran it through the crimper.
  • The package is tied with gold netting and the rose was then added.

the card:
  • Card base is Very Vanilla with a 4" x 5 1/8" Soft Suede CS sprayed with Champagne Shimmer Paint spray.
  • I sprayed a 3 3/4" x 5" Very Vanilla CS Champagne Shimmer Paint spray. I ran it through the Big Shot with the Elegant Line folder. I then added it to the card front.
  • I stamped the phrase from Occasional Quotes in Soft Suede onto the front of the card.
  • I added all three sizes of Pearl Jewels to the Elegant Lines.
Fairly easy projects and I thought they coordinated  well together.

More- Happiness Shared

So as I am sure you have figured out, I love to watercolor! Here is another Happiness Shared card.
  • The card base is Very Vanilla, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines folder before I folded it in half.
  • I stamped both images with Stazon onto Watercolor paper and watercolored with markers and an Aqua Painter.  Colors used, Rose- Regal Rose and Rose Red, Leaves- Old Olive and Always Artichoke.
  • Images were layered onto Old Olive and again onto Rose Red. The images were then layered onto the card base with the bud, on Dimentionals, overlapping the the full bloom.
I hope you like this card, the stamp set is a great one for watercoloring.  Wouldn't this work as a Birthday card or a Mother's day card?  I hope that you all have a wonderful day!

Happy I Do Day

This was a very fast and simple card!
  • The card base is Basic Black
  • I ran a piece of Whisper White through the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines folder
  • I punch a heart from Basic Black and one from Whisper White
  • I ran the black heart through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice folder and the white heart I sprayed with shimmer paint spray and added the tiniest pearls to the front
  • I stamped the phrase from Word Play on the Whisper White card front with stazon, I added a rhinestone on the ring that the O makes
  • I popped the hearts up on the card with Dimensionals
Fast and easy!

For the Newlyweds

This is the card we made in my free class, they had the choice on Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, Daffodil Delight, of Pear Pizazz.

  • The card base is Whisper White.

  • Made layer with a piece of Early Espresso DSP and their choice of CS ran through the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines folder.

  • We colored the White Ribbon with the Early Espresso markers smoothing out the lines with a baby wipe. (I love how we can have any color of ribbon we want!), we wrapped the ribbon around the DSP/CS layer to cover the line where they met.

  • The sentiment was stamped in the matching color on Whisper White CS and punched with the large Oval punch, sponging the edges with the matching ink.  These were layered on an Early Espresso Scallop Oval.

  • Each guest was given 3 large, 5 medium and 5 small pearls to add as they wanted on the swirls, circles and sentiment on the card.
I will be offering this in a card kit later this week so check the sidebar in a couple of days.
