WWC198 - Gail's "All About Holidays" Challenge

Gail is the host of our challenge this week!
I have seen cards on Pinterest that were similar to this and inspired me to create this one.
My candles are made from DSP and cardstock. I sprayed a piece of Whisper White with a mixture of Frost Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol I ran it through the Big Shot in the Corrugated Embossing Folder. When I tried the folder on the DSP it tore it to pieces so I used plan B. I pulled out my crimper and ran it through it to get the corrugated look.

The flames are Daffodil Delight Cardstock sprayed with the Frost Shimmer Spray. I cut the flames with the Broadway Lights Framelits.

I used the pine branches from the Christmas Staircase Framelits and Red Rhinestones to decorated the bases of the candles.

The sentiment is from Star of Light.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 148 - Heidi's Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Heidi is our Challenge Host this week!
My image is a retired Stamping UP! image but what is more Feminine then a Mother and baby?
I stamped my image with Versamark on Night of Navy Cardstock and heat embossed in Gold. The sentiment is from a current set called Star of Light.  I ran a piece of Gold Foil paper through the Big Shot in a retired Textured Embossing Folder to deboss the image I used it as a mat for my image. The card base is Marina Mist.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 129 - Libby's All About Christmas Challenge

Libby is hosting our Challenge this week!
It is All About Christmas.

I give around 100 or more Christmas cards each year, it helps if I start making them early so this is a perfect challenge to help me get some done.

I love the stamp set Star of Light! I wish the photo really showed how beautiful this card turned out.
I used Night of Navy Cardstock for the base with a layer of Whisper White Cardstock. I sponged a piece of Glossy White Cardstock with Dapper Denim, Night of Navy and Elegant Eggplant inks, after buffing and heat setting the inks I heat embossed the swirl and greeting with White Embossing Powder. I cut a piece of White Glimmer Paper with the Starlight Thinlits popping it up with thin strips of Dimensionals.

For the front panel I used Star of Light from the Holiday Catalog.  First and last panel uses Joyful Nativity found in the annual catalog. Second Panel is a retired stamp called Every Blessing. The third panel is a retired set called Come to Bethlehem. I used the emboss resist techneique.
