WWC96-Gail's Special Fold Challenge

Gail challenged us to use a special fold for this weeks challenge.
I went with the "Easy Four Fold Card"

I used two stamp sets that are available this year and two retired sets. For the front panel I used Star of Light from the Holiday Catalog.  First and last panel uses Joyful Nativity found in the annual catalog. Second Panel is a retired stamp called Every Blessing. The third panel is a retired set called Come to Bethlehem. I used the emboss resist techneique.

Check out the projects that the artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created then take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post.

Holiday Hedgehogs

I know from time to time I have mentioned that my kids breed and raise hedgehogs, they are the cutest little animals. I know this is from a retired set but it is one I will hang onto.

  • The card base is Wild Wasabi. I used Versamark and heat embossed the Merry Christmas from Come to Bethlehem in Cherry Cobbler.
  • I stamped the image on Watercolor Paper with Stazon and colored it with Ink and an Aqua Painter.
  • I punched the image out with the 2 1/2" Circle punch and layered it onto a 3" Circle cut with the Big Shot. I popped it up on the card front.
I think it is cut and it was simple to make.

Card #1 from September's Stamp a Stack- Come to Bethlehem

From September until December  I will beholding a Stamp a Stack each month (yesterday was the first one)3 designs, 4 cards each.  Some of the cards will end up in my Tuesday Open Studio Stamping selections, this one will be available.
  • Card base for this card is Crumb Cake.
  • With Early Espresso ink I stamped the image towards the top of the card base.
  • I added a medium Rhinestone Jewel to the middle of the star.
  • On a 1 3/4" x 4 1/4" of Garden Green, I stamped the phrase in Early Espresso. I layered it on a piece of Cherry Cobbler with the edges punched with the Scallop Trim Border.
  • The buttons are Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake CS made using the Sizzlits Button's #5 layered with a Dimensional and threaded with Linen Thread.
Hoping you all have a wonderful day!
