Layering Oval Framelits
Stitched Shapes Framelits
Versamark & Memento Inks
White Embossing Powder
Brick Wall Textured Embossing Folder
Thick Whisper White and Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry & Smokey Slate Cardstock

Wink of  Stella

After coloring the dragon I added shimmer with Wink of Stella. The dragon and his flames are popped up with Dimensionals.  I thought this sentiment from Sheltering Tree was perfect for a dragon.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 151 - Charlotte's Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Charlotte is hosting the challenge this week!
I love this retired stamp of a peacock.
The image is stamped with Memento Ink and colored with Stampin' Blends. The colors used are Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight for the bird and Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive on the flowers. I used Wink of Stella on the bird to add sheen to the feathers.
The cardstock is Whisper White and Island Indigo. The sentiment is from Sheltering Tree and is stamped with Rich Razzleberry Ink.

WWC94 - Heidi's Simply Stamping Challenge

"Simply Stamping" is a return to basics.  We expect either one single stamped layer or a base with one single layer on that.  We expect simple stamping.  You can use masking, heat embossing, stencilling, sponging.  You cannot use an embossing folder or embellishments or additional layers (not even a tag).

I failed to read our own guideline when I first made a card for this challenge and had to go back to the drawing board. This time I made a very simple CAS card.
I don't drink coffee or tea so I haven't collected any of those type stamps so this was hard because of lack of stamps, however Touches of Texture does have coffee rings and I did use Early Espresso CS and ink. I also used Sheltering Tree and Dapper Denim

In all honesty the train needed at least one more color but if I had added one it wouldn't fit the challenge ;).

The Wacky Watercooler March Madness Blog Hop!

We are hopping again and this time it is March Madness!  Basketball? Not always!! Just the madness this time of year brings, in some areas it is wishing for warmth and the end of snow, maybe it is just needing to slow down, the madness is different for everyone. My personal "madness" is spring clean up and those DYI projects that I am hoping with help as a selling appeal as we get our house ready to sell.

As usual, our Blog Hop runs in a circular fashion.  No matter where in the list of participants you begin, inevitably you'll wind up in the exact same place again if you keep going to the "next" blog.  It works the same way whether you conform to the usual forward movement through the blog posts or if you're a rebel and work your way through in reverse order.

If you hopped over from Linda's blog I am sure you found inspiration. If you are starting here, keep on hopping!

This time of year we are usually wishing for warmer winter, this year we are just wondering what happened to snow and worrying about the drought that will be hitting if we don't get a wet spring/summer. My trees are already blossoming almost a month early, I noticed a few gardens already planted as I was driving about town(gardens go in AFTER Mother's day!). So my first card is early spring.
Stamps: Sheltering Tree & Lots of Thanks
Paper: Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz & Calypso Coral CS
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake & Rose Coral Chalk
Misc: Dimensionals

For Fancy Folds I went simple, a sheet of 12" x 5 1/2" CS scored at 2", 4", 8" & 10"  cut at a diagonal 3" down on each side up to the 4" or 8" fold line depending on the side.
Stamps: Lovely Amazing You

Stampin' UP! supplies Basic Black CS, Glue Sticks and Snail Runner.
My son recently returned from a church mission in Japan. He collects movie posters a standard movie poster (a one sheet) size is 27" x 40". He brought flyer size (7 1'8" x10 1/8")movie posters home that are in Japanese. We made a 27" x 40" collage of posters and then mounted 9 on Basic Black CS and mounted them on top of the collage.

Now it is time to hop on over to Jackie's, I'm sure you will find inspiration in her work.
