The Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop

We are hopping again!

As usual, our Blog Hop runs in a circular fashion.  No matter where in the list of participants you begin, you'll wind up in the exact same place again if you keep going to the "next" blog.  It works the same way whether you do the usual forward movement through the blog posts or if you work your way through in reverse order.

If you hopped here from Jean's blog welcome! Jean is an amazing person!

I sort of got hooked on flowers for this hop, so wanting it to warm up! Yesterdays snow is mostly melted.
First up, a Shaker Card-
Stamps: Too Kind
Paper: Crisp Cantaloupe, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizzazz & Whisper White CS & Watercolor Paper
Ink: Strawberry Slush and Craft White
Misc: Shaker Frames, Butterfly Framelits, seed beads

Stamps: Indescribable Gift & Lots of Thanks
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black & Vellum CS
Ink: Versa mark & Memento Tuxedo Black & Pink Pirouette & Pear Pizzazz Markers
Misc: White Embossing Powder

Last one might be a little odd...

Paper: Cherry Cobbler
Misc: Owl Builder & Scallop Punch & Crystal Effects, Blush remnants and Rubbing alcohol

I placed all the bits and pieces from several blush containers in an empty embellishment, crushed it and added alcohol to make a paste. Let it dry and it is ready to use. For the lid I made a flower and brushed crystal effects on the petals to make it hold up when handled.

I hope you found some inspiration here, leave me a word and let me know you stopped by. Hope on over to Christine's Blog for more inspiration.

  5. Beautiful colors on your shaker card, Kath. It almost popped out of my computer! But tell me...what ever made you come up with a blush/alcohol paste? I would have had to drink a lot of alcohol and still probably would never have thought of that! Gorgeous rose!

  6. Hi Kath, thanks for being part of the blog hop. I'm amazed that you managed to pull all these wonderful projects together at the last minute. Way to go! Your cards are beautiful, especially the shaker rainbow card. Love it. The blush---what a great idea. Why throw it away when you can mix the bits together and have a usable amount in a container with such a gorgeous rose on top? Great idea.

  10. Kath all your projects are simply wonderful. The Butterfly shaker card had me at first glimpse. Love the colours and the design of this card. Then I melted when I saw your black and pink card. It is so serene looking. I would never have thought of using left over blush for this purpose, but from now on when I accidentally (oops) drop my powdered blush on the tile floor, I'll know what to do with it. Thanks for the tip!
