WWC76 - Penny's Clean & Simple Challenge

Penny challenged us to make a clean and simple card with the added challenge to include a butterfly.

For the Watercooler Wednesday challenge the guide line for Clean & Simple or CAS is:
Either a single layer upon which we stamp or a base with a single layer upon which we stamp. Since we use embellishments for any other type of card, no embellishments or die-cuts or anything except the simplicity of stamping for the "clean & simple". That gives a clear reason for its name. And what is simpler than stamping? That will allow heat embossing since, if one decides to use a colour, heat embossing would show better than simple stamping. But no embossing folder embossing. Clean and simple.

Here is my card, I used Wild About Flowers and Suite Sayings. For color I used Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.

Remake

The card I made for WWC64-Heidi's CAS Challenge ended up getting an oily spot on the back of the card so I used the front for this card.
I'm always happy if I can rescue a damaged card!

Have a great day and come back on Wednesday for another challenge.

WWC74 - Marsha's Tag Challenge

Marsha gave us a Tag Challenge. What does that mean?  You just have to create a tag.  It can be a tag by itself, it can be on card or it can be a tag attached to something.
I went with a tag on a card!

I used Artistically Asian for the card with Wild Wasbi and Melon Mambo for color.

Head over to Watercooler Wednesday to see what the artists there have created then create and link yours so we all can see it!

WWC73 - Gail's Clean & Simple Summer theme Challenge

Gail challenged us to make a clean and simple card with the theme of Summer!

I decided that the Wetlands stamp set was the way to go!
I washed Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, So Saffron & Pool Party Inks across the front top portion on my card, stamped the birds with Soft Suede.  The Happy Birthday is from Birthday Banners stamped with Soft Suede.

Wacky Watercooler June Blog Hop!

I'm hopping with my friends again! It has been too long!

Our blog hop works in a circular pattern, so you may have started here on my blog or have hopped here from Deb's blog. Either way Welcome!

We are sharing our favorites fro the new catalog. It's hard to pick favorites when there is so much I am liking about this catalog.

First up, favorite new In Color: Dapper Denim is my favorite at the moment ;).
I faux watercolored with the stamp set Touches of Texture using Dapper Denim, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. I also used a greeting from Birthday Banners.

Second was our favorite Stamp Set/Bundle, that was a tough one so I went with two of them.

I used the Foxy Friends and Always an Adventure Bundles. I also used Teeny Tiny Wishes and the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

Last, Favorite DSP, well I didn't buy any (you'd think with a $500 order that wouldn't have happened). But I have the Neutrals Stack.

I used One Wild Ride, another favorite stamp set.

So now it's time to hop over to Marie's blog.

WWC72 - Jean's Color Challenge

Jean challenged us to use at least 3 of the new In colors.  I used Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy and Flirty Flamingo.
ll
For my card front I took a piece of Shimmery White CS and ran it through the Big Shot, in the Seaside Textured Embossing Folder.  I used a piece of chip board with a circle cut out of its center instead of one of the Cutting Pads.

Using the stamp set Seaside Shore, I stamped the seaweed in the flat area on my card front in Basic Gray, coloring it Emerald Envy. I did a back ground wash of Dapper Denim and Crumb Cake when dried I stamped the starfish on the "sand" in Flirty Flamingo.

The fish were stamped on scraps of Watercolor Paper colored, cut out and popped up with Dimensionals.

The greeting is from Birthday Banners cut out with Bunch of Banners Framelits.

WWC70 - Marsha's Sketch Challenge

Marsha gave us this sketch for this weeks challenge.
I never make square cards so I made a standard card instead. I also turned the sketch on its side.
The stamp set is a hostess set that is available as of today called "Love You Lots" The colors are Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and a New In color called Flirty Flamingo.

Check out what the artists at Watercolor Wednesday have done with this sketch, create your own with the sketch and link it to our challenge,

WWC69 - Kath's CAS Masculine Challenge

I was asked to pick a theme for our CAS challenge at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge blog. I decided it was time for a Masculine theme!
A CAS masculine card was harder to do then I thought it would be and I think my card barely qualifies, but here it is.
I used Guy Greetings and cut up a card base from Watercolor Wishes card kit. I kept the card to two colors, Whisper White & Tip Top Taupe.

Head on over to Watercooler Wednesday see what the artists there have created and start creating a CAS masculine card and link it at the bottom of the post!

I'm hoping that soon I will be posting more often, my son is moving out of my Stamp Room this week! :)

WWC67 - Deborah presents "All Boxed Up"

Deborah presented a box challenge for us.

I went with my favorite Curvy Keepsake Box.  I came up with the dragon box when the framelits first came out in the Stampin' Up catalog and it is still a favorite of many of my friends.

I went with my favorite retiring color, Blackberry Bliss, I am going to miss it!
and a shot of the back.
