Penny challenged us to make a clean and simple card with the added challenge to include a butterfly.
For the Watercooler Wednesday challenge the guide line for Clean & Simple or CAS is:
Either a single layer upon which we stamp or a base with a single layer upon which we stamp. Since we use embellishments for any other type of card, no embellishments or die-cuts or anything except the simplicity of stamping for the "clean & simple". That gives a clear reason for its name. And what is simpler than stamping? That will allow heat embossing since, if one decides to use a colour, heat embossing would show better than simple stamping. But no embossing folder embossing. Clean and simple.
Here is my card, I used Wild About Flowers and Suite Sayings. For color I used Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.
Check out what the artists at Watercooler Wednesday have done with this challenge. then join the challenge and link your card, and maybe you will "rock" the watercooler ;).
I love the gentle colours in this card - they all go so well together
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. Lovely use of colour and space.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card Kath. I'd forgotten about the Wild About Flowers stamp set, so this made me go back and have another look. I also love the sentiment and the soft subtle colours you chose for your stamping. Awesome!
