Birthday Blooms

The cardstock is Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Whisper White. I stamped the image with Memento ink and colored it with the new Stampin' Bends. The colors are Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, and Old Olive. The Sentiment was stamped in Old Olive and is from Daisy Delight.

I restamped and colored another.

The cardstock on this one is Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and Whisper White. This time I didn't use Calypso Coral and didn't take the color to the edge of the petals, I used the Color Lifter to blend the color to the tips. The sentiment is from Thoughts and Prayers.

In the US to order your Stampin' Blends and any other Stampin' UP! product use this hostess code  CUV9DWCG I will be drawing a name from those that order using the hostess code that person will receive a collection of cards from me.

Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 139 - Kath's Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge

It's my turn to host this weeks challenge!
My card might not be the typical feminine card, but I so loved the delicate lacey leaves as well as the greeting and I felt it works for this challenge.
Photographing the foil papers is hard to do!
The card base is Thick Whisper White layered with Year of Cheer Specialty DSP. I used the Envelope Punch Board to round the corners. Using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits I cut leaves from Silver and Copper Foil Paper. I stamped the sentiment from Thoughts & Prayers with Versamark on Whisper White Cardstock and heat embossed with the Copper Embossing Powder. I cut the sentiment out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and popped it up with Dimensionals.

Check out the projects that the artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created then take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post.

WWC82 - Libby's Theme Challenge-Trees

Libby gave us a theme challenge of Trees!

My go to tree set is Lovely as a Tree but since this is a challenge I thought I better go with a tree I rarely use, the tree from Thoughts & Prayers.  The sentiment comes from Flourishing Phrases.

I used Copper paper and Copper Embossing Powder as well, I also used Very Vanilla and Soft Suede.
Money saving tip: When using Foil sheets remember to cut the middles out of the piece to use on other projects!

Check out Watercooler Wednesday Challenges to see what the artists these have created for this challenge. Pick your favorite tree stamps and get creative, don't forget to link to the challenge post.

Thoughts & Prayers, Love & Sympathy

I saw this picture on Pinterest and loved the color combo, Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede or Backed Brown Sugar and Gold, I worked most of the colors into my card.

  • The card base is Baked Brown Sugar CS. I used the Envelope Punch Bourd to round the lower right and upper left corner. I layered it with Cherry Cobbler then Night of Navy CS rounding the same two corners.
  • On a piece of Natural White CS I stamped the floral spray from Thought & Prayers with Versamark and heat embossed it with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder. I stamp the sentiment from Love and Sympathy in Versamark and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I layered it onto the layered card base.
