Christmas Lodge

Before I start showing our swaps I wanted to share this card. Sadly my photos rarely do justice to the cards I show.

  • The card base is Cherry Cobbler with a front of the DSP Candlelight Christmas.
  • I sprayed a piece of Early Espresso CS with Champagne Shimmer Paint spray the stamped the tree from Christmas Lodge with Versamark and heat embossed it with Pewter Embossing Powder. I layered it on Garden Green.
  • On a strip of Very Vanilla I stamped the phrase from the same stamp set with Versamark and heat embossed it with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder that had a bit of Dazzling Diamonds mixed in it to add some sparkle to the card. I snipped the ends of the strip and then sponged the edges with Cherry Cobbler Ink. and popped it up with Dimensionals.

Have a wonderful day!

Christmas Lodge

Here is a card I CASEd from Pinterest sadly even though I thought I had pinned it it seems I didn't.

  • The base is 4 1/4" x 8" folded at 5 1/2", the small side was ran through the Big Shot with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder. I cut a strip of Early Espresso CS and punched it with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch I adhered it to the inside of the front piece.
  • On the inside of the card I used Early Espresso CS sprayed with Champagne Shimmer Paint Spray, cut at 4" x 5 1/4". Very Vanilla cut at 3 3/4" x 5" CS I stamped the tree from Christmas Lodge with Versamark and heat embossed with Clear embossing powder. I sponged Crumb Cake around the tree to make it stand out.
  • On the the front on another piece of Very Vanilla CS I sis the house the same as the tree. I layered it on Early Espresso CS that had been sprayed with Champagne Shimmer Paint spray.
  • I cut the two smallest snowflakes on the Snow Flurry Bigz Die in Very Vanilla CS, layered them on each other and added a Large Pearl to the center an layered it on the front of the card.

Christmas Lodge

I made this card in October, I really wanted to go with a snow-globe look, I just couldn't get a look I was happy with so this is what I came up with instead.

  • The card base is Crumb Cake, with Soft Suede and Dazzling Details sponged on the edges.
  • a 5 1/4" x 2 3/4" piece of Frostwood Lodge DSP was added to the lower portion of the base.
  • The Lodge was stamped with Early Espresso on a 3" circle of Crumb Cake(again the edges were sponged the same as the edge of the card) The snow in the image was colored with the white gel pen the was covered with the Dazzling Details.
  • On a strip on Crumb Cake the Merry Christmas was stamped, the C and the swirls were Cherry Cobbler and the rest of the word is Early Espresso, the edges were sponged with Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Dazzling Details.
  • The Ribbon was wrapped around the card with the ends hidden behind the Circle.
I think this was my favorite of the cards I made this year.  I hope that you all have a Very Merry Christmas and stop by after Christmas to see some of the cards I have been making with stamp sets from the upcoming Mini catalog.
