Lovely as a Tree Thank You

My youngest son got married in December. I forgot to post about the thank you cards I mad for them.

Their colors were dark red, bright red, silver and gunmetal. Trees were used on the invitations as well as in the decorations.

The thank you is from a long retired set that was given to me without the name on the box.

I used the sentiment from Magical Mermaid stamped with Night of Navy. I traced the word Magical as well as the small images next to it with the Fine Tip Glue and added Dazzling Diamonds to the glue. The wizard is popped up with Dimensionals.

After coloring the dragon I added shimmer with Wink of Stella. The dragon and his flames are popped up with Dimensionals.  I thought this sentiment from Sheltering Tree was perfect for a dragon.

This dragon reminds me of the Curvy Keepsake Dragon I designed, you can see it here.

Lots of Happy

This is a card I made using the Lots of Happy Card Kit.

The size of the card is the Sahara Sand piece. I wanted  a full size card so I cut the card base in half and layered on the inside of one of the envelopes that came in the kit for the card that was the second to the smallest in the kit, layered it again on Basic Black then onto a Thick Whisper White card base.

Sympathy Done Two Ways

I make Sympathy cards for my church and recently needed to provide some more. So I have started working on some.

I have made two nearly the same which do you like best?

This card is a simple two layer card. The rose is from Graceful Garden and the sentiment is from Rose Wonder. I used Thick Whisper White Cardstock and Basic Gray and Real Red Inks. I colored the Roses with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin' Blends. The layer is popped up with Dimensionals.

This card is a 3 layer card.  I used Thick Whisper White and Whisper White Cardstock. I used Basic Gray, Real Red and Old Olive Inks and colored the rose the same as the one above. This time I popped up the sentiment instead of the layer. I sponged the Old Olive Ink on the edges.

WWC156 - Penny's Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Penny is the host this week at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges!

This week I used part of Lots of Happy Card Kit to make my card. 

As you can see the kit makes 4 different sizes of cards. I only make/send the full size cards! I used parts of the kit, layering them onto a Thick Whisper White cardbase. I cut the card base from the kit in half and matted it with Basic Black Cardstock before adding it to the cardbase. I am doing a class with this card in March so I only used 1 of the 2 flower pieces because Watercoloring takes a lot of time, too much for a class.

I love that the Lots of Happy Card Kit has everything needed to make cards, it also has a refill option so you can make as many as you want with out getting duplitacate stamp sets and Watercolor Pencils.

Here is what happens when you don't think things through!

I made this card first and mounted the shaker layer directly to the Basic Black layer. After filling the shaker box area it needs to be closed with Whisper White then layered onto the Basic Black.
