Grassy Grove

I saw a video on facebook that showed an Easel Card using the Grove Dies and New Horizon & Beauty Of the Earth Designer Series Papers. In the video, they did what they called lumberjacking, they had cut the Grove twice once from each paper. The New Horizon DSP was used for the greenery and "lumberjacking" referred to removing all the trunks and limbs.  The "lumberjacked DSP was glued over the brown DSP to include both colors in the same grove. I tried it on card 1.

On card 2 I cut the Grove from only the New Horizon DSP and instead of "lumberjacking" I used Stampin' Blend 200 and colored the trunks & limbs and found it much faster putting the card together.

I made a third card but the green for this card is from the Beauty Of The Earth DSP.

I will be spending the next 10 days enjoying Easter Jeep Safari in Moab Utah and won't have a chance to stamp!

  1. All three cards are beautiful. Never heard of that "lumberjacking" technique, but it looks amazing.
