WWC204 - Gail's Masculine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Gail id our Challenge host this week.

When thumbing through the Occasions catalog this stamp set was the first one that I "had" to get ;). As much for the sentiment that I used on this card as for the images that are in the set. The set is called Let it Ride.

I used Very Vanilla Cardstock and Wood Textures DSP. I stamped with Memento Ink and Colored with Stampin' Blends.

Lovely Lattice

I only used 4 colors on this card, black, white, pink & green.

The stamp set, Lovely Lattice, is a sale a bration set so it is free with a qualifying order of $50.

I stamped the image with VersaMark onto Shimmery White Cardstock and heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder. I used Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive & Basic Black Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to add color.

I used the 2 largest Rectangle Stitched Framelits, the framelits are bundles with a stamp set that I didn't use on this project so I provide a link for the bundle as well as just the framelits.

The sentiment is from First Frost a carryover from the Holiday Catalog and still available.

Amazing Life Bundle

This sentiment is perfect for a simple card.

The Framelits are wonderful! The Sizes are:

There are sizes for card layers and sizes for sentiment. 13 Framelits in all.

I started by stamping the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock with Memento ink. I colored the Happy with a Highland Heather Stampin' Blend. I found the Framelit that framed the sentiment nicely and ran it through the Big Shot.

I used the largest of the Framelits to cut the layer that mats the sentiment out of Highland Heather.

I glued the Highland Heather cardstock to the Thick Whisper White card base. I wrapped a piece of Daffodil Delight ribbon around the sentiment layer and tied it with a simple knot. The ribbon is free with an order of $50 before tax and shipping. The bundle is $50.25 so it qualifies for the free Sale a bration item. The ribbon comes in a pack of 5 colors. I used Dimensionals to pop it up on the Highland Heather.

This card will be part of my January Card Buffet offerings and will be available in the 5 colors the ribbon comes in so you can coordinate or contrast the cardstock and ribbon.

WWC203 - Karen's "All About Occasions" Challenge

Karen is our challenge host this week!

I've always felt a new baby is a wonderful occasion!

This card isn't the card I set out to make, I still plan to make that later.

When I use my Stampin' Blends and when I watercolor I often Ink my stamp with markers matching the color I plan to color with.

So after I inked up the stamp with markers, I huffed on it to make sure all the ink was moist because it took a while to color all those animals. I stamped it onto Shimmery White cardstock because I had planned in watercoloring it. Several friends and some family members all commented on how much they liked it just as it was stamped. So I decided to let this be the way this card would look and I'll watercolor another one later.

The Stampin' Write Markers I used are:

The card base is Petal Pink layered with Balmy Blue.
