Pun Fun

So I like the thank ewe card that I posted last month alot better then this one... this card is a standard Whisper White card front that I cut 1" off the front side. I layered it with Real Red CS and the Real Red Designer Paper. Onthe inside edge of the card I added a 11/2" strip of Basic Black CS. I stamped the ewe with StazOn on Whisper White CS I colored the face with Basic Grey and the heart is the red glitter. I mounted it on Real Red CS and then on a longer piece of Basic Black that I wrapped a piece of red Gingham Ribbon around. All was layered to the card front.

Just B

This card is the standard size in So Saffron CS. I stamped the bee and fabulous from Just B in Basic Black on the card front. With the 1 ¼" punch I punched a square in a piece of Basic Blake CS the ran it through the Crimper, I added two So Saffron Brads to the top of the square. With Sticky Tape I attached a piece of transparency over the opening, I used the edge pieces from Stamping Dimensionals to make a solid square around the window, I poured some Micro Beads into the middle and then attached it over the bee.

Color Inspiration #9

This card was made for kwernerdesign Color Inspiration #9 the colors for the challenge were Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, So Saffron, and Tempting Turquoise. I stamped the humming bird from Spring Song on Water Color paper with StazOn and colored it with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Aqua Painters using the only the colors from the challenge. I mounted it on Real Red CS and again on Tempting Turquoise CS. I wrapped a piece of Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon around a piece of Old Olive CS that was mounted under the image. I stamped the you're so fabulous in Pumpkin Pie on the So Saffron card front.

Just B

I had planned to use this as last weeks kwerner's color inspiration #8 but due to camera issues and a crazy week I even though I had it made in time I wasn't able to post it. This card uses the standard size card base in Bashful Blue CS. On Whisper White Cs I stamped the B from Just B with Pumpkin Pie ink, I mounted it on Pumpkin Pie CS. I wrapped Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon around a piece of Brilliant Blue CS and then mounted the B on it. I popped it up on Dimensionals. On Whisper White I stamped the celebrate circle from Sweet Celebrations in Brilliant Blue and punched it out with the 1 ¼" circle punch, I mounted it on 1 3/8" circle punched from Pumpkin Pie CS. I stamped the cupcake from Short and Sweet on Whisper White with Pumpkin Pie Ink I mounted it on a Build a Brad, I layered it over the corner of the B. I stamped the phrase on on the card front in Brilliant Blue. I thought it was pretty good but didn't get it entered.

For A Friend

This card uses the Hostess set For a Friend and the Cutie Pie Designer Paper. The base of the card is 4 ¼" x 5 ½" Rose Red CS. The Brthday was colored with Certainly Celery Marker and the wishes and the candle were colored with Always Artichoke Marker the Flame is Summer Sun and Dazzling Diamonds, this was stamped on Whisper White then mounted on Certainly Celery CS. Three different pieces of Cutie Pie were used, layered under the stamping.

Thoughts of Father

I used the bird from Thoughts of Father for this card. I started with a card base of Close to Cocoa that I stamped Tres Chic in Close to Cocoa ink. I stamped the image on Watercolor paper with StazOn and painted it with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and an Aqua Painter. I mounted it on Pretty in Pink that I distressed with the Tool Kit. And again on Bashful Blue that I had distressed. I had punched a hole in the card front and threaded the Bashful Blue Striped Ribbon and tied. I mounted the image over the hole.

Spring Song

I really like this card. I love humming birds. I stamped the bird from Spring Song with StazOn on Watercolor paper and painted it with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Aqua Painters, and a touch of PearlEx Powder (discontinued). I mounted the picture on Cameo Coral CS and again on Basic Black CS. The card base is 4 ¼'' x 5 ½" Blush Blossom CS. I used a 2 ½" x 5 ½" piece of Ginger Blossom Designer Paper that I mounted on Groovy Guava CS. I wrapped a piece of stitched Groovy Guava ribbon around the designer paper; I used a rub on from the Sell a bration Catty on the ribbon. I used the ribbon slide from the Occasions Catty that I used Stampin Glitter on to add some sparkle to the card. I mounted the designer paper strip on the card base and then mounted the picture on top of this.

For Father

This is another card that just didn't work for me. I started with a base of 4 ¼" x 5 ½" Always Avocado CS. I stamp the dog from For Father with StazOn on Watercolor Paper. With Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Aqua Painters I painted the dog with So Saffron and Creamy Carmel and the boots with Really Rust and Creamy Caramel. I distressed the edges with the Tool Kit. I mounted it on So Saffron CS that I punched the corners with the Ticket Punch. Mounted it on Really Rust. I used antique brads in the ticket punched corners. On Pumpkin Pie CS that I distressed and sponged the the edges with Really Rust, I stamped the phrase from One of a Kind in Really Rust, then mounted the picture above it. So tell me what would you do different.

Bronc Buster

This card has a base of 4 ¼" x 5 ½" Blue Bayou CS. I layered it with a piece of Blue Bayou Designer Paper that I distressed and then sponged with Blue Bayou ink. I embossed in silver the genuine from Bronc Buster on Blue Bayou CS, then distressed the edges and sponged it with ink of the same color. I then mounted the phrase a a piece of Silver CS. I added another piece of Blue Bayou DS paper a little taller then the phrase but the width of the other DS paper. The arrows are punched with My Way in both Silver and Blue Bayou CS and layered on the front.

Embrace Life

This Embrace Life starts with a base of 4 ¼" x 5 ½" Groovy Guava CS I cut a piece of Mellow Moss 4" x 5 ¼" I randomly stamped the leaf image with Versa Mark then punched out a window with the Word Window Punch, then layered it on the card front. I stamped embrace life in the window with Groovy Guava. I stamped the flower image on Whisper White CS with StazOn and Colored it with Blender Pens and Groovy Guava and Mellow Moss ink. I sponged the Whisper White Cs with Groovy Guava then layered it on Groovy Guava CS. I made two small loops with the Groovy Guava Stitched Ribbon and attached it to the back of the CS. I mounted the image on the card front.

For Father

The card base for this card is 4 ¼' X 5 ½" Bordering Blue CS. The stamp set I used was For Father. I stamped the image on Watercolor paper with StazOn ink and painted it with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and an Aqua Painter. I mounted it on a piece of Brocade Blue CS that I distressed with the Tool Kit. I mounted it again on a distressed piece of Chocolate Chip CS, and mounted it all on the card base. The phrase I stamped with StazOn on a piece of Very Vanilla CS and the card base as well. I punched the word Father's from the Very Vanilla with the Word Window punch. I used the picture hanging hardware from Hodgepodge Kit and Natural Hemp to tie it to the card front. I punch a small hole in the fold to thread the Hemp through and Mini Glue Dots to hold it in place.

Zoofari-Birthday

This is my favorite birthday card for a girl. The Rhino is from Zoofari stamped on Whisper White with StazOn ink and colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and an Aqua Painter; I used Charcoal and Grey for the Rhino but painted her toe nails and horn Regal Rose. The party hat is from Crab and Company, I painted it Regal Rose and Rose Red. I punched the corners with the Ticket punch. I mounted the image on Rose Red CS and again on Going Grey CS. I added silver Brads to the corners. The base of the card is 4 ¼" x 5 ½" Regal Rose CS, I attached the image at the bottom of the card. I cut a 1" strip of Designer Paper to match, wrapped Purely Pomegranate Stitched Ribbon around the DP. I tied two pieces of White Grosgrain Ribbon around the Purely Pomegranate. This was added to the top of the card base.
