I used a well-loved retired Chrismas Stamp!
Supplies are in the Product List.
I stamped the image on Crumb Cake Cardstock with Soft Suede Ink and then sponged the edges. I layered it on Cherry Cobbler. I embossed the front of my base with the Holly Textured Embossing Folder then wrapped the Copper Trim around the base and tied it in a bow. Last I added the matted image.

Oh Kath I so love this classic vintage Santa and Reindeer card. I love the colour mix and the beautiful Holly embossed background and gorgeous copper metalic ribbon tied in such a fragile bow. Simply delightful and an excursion back in time. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have seen this image before, Kath. I love the vintage look which you have highlighted so well with your embossed background and ribbons.
ReplyDeleteWow Kath, what a wonderfully vintage-looking card! I love the stamped image and have never seen it before. I can see why you consider it a well-loved Christmas stamp even though it is retired. Some images beg to be kept, don't they? Your choice of colours really add to that vintage feel. I don't use Always Artichoke often enough and had forgotten how elegant the colour really is, especially paired with the Cherry Cobbler and copper. Beautifully done!
