Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 140 - Libby's All About Birthdays Challenge

Libby is our host this week!
While cleaning up my craft room I found these unused card bases that Stampin Up retired. They fit the challenge theme so I figured I better use them up.
I used the stamp set Birthday Banners. I stamped the candle twice end to end so that I had a tall candle. I pulled my ink color from the colors on the base to stamp both candle and banner. The colors I used are Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, and Emerald Envy. I cut the banner out with the Bunch of Banners Framelits. I used Dimensionals to pop it up on the base. I used Wink of Stella on the flame. A fast and easy birthday card.

Check out the projects that the artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created then take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post.

  1. What a great card base upon which to build, Kath. I love the way you've continued the colours in your candle and that fancy banner. I can see the sparkle of the Wink of Stella but imagine it's even prettier in person. It may be fast and easy but it would be perfect for any age or gender.

  2. Great use for those card bases Kath. Absolutely the perfect touch for your Birthday Card. I love the colour mix and I really like how you made the candle bigger so it extends beyond that fancy banner. Awesome card, thanks for sharing!

  3. Fabulous card Kath. Really fun way to use that card base. The candle is great, and you did a really good job extending it to be the size you wanted. Love the sparkle on the flame too.
