The Wacky Watercooler March Madness Blog Hop!

We are hopping again and this time it is March Madness!  Basketball? Not always!! Just the madness this time of year brings, in some areas it is wishing for warmth and the end of snow, maybe it is just needing to slow down, the madness is different for everyone. My personal "madness" is spring clean up and those DYI projects that I am hoping with help as a selling appeal as we get our house ready to sell.

As usual, our Blog Hop runs in a circular fashion.  No matter where in the list of participants you begin, inevitably you'll wind up in the exact same place again if you keep going to the "next" blog.  It works the same way whether you conform to the usual forward movement through the blog posts or if you're a rebel and work your way through in reverse order.

If you hopped over from Linda's blog I am sure you found inspiration. If you are starting here, keep on hopping!

This time of year we are usually wishing for warmer winter, this year we are just wondering what happened to snow and worrying about the drought that will be hitting if we don't get a wet spring/summer. My trees are already blossoming almost a month early, I noticed a few gardens already planted as I was driving about town(gardens go in AFTER Mother's day!). So my first card is early spring.

My son recently returned from a church mission in Japan. He collects movie posters a standard movie poster (a one sheet) size is 27" x 40". He brought flyer size (7 1'8" x10 1/8")movie posters home that are in Japanese. We made a 27" x 40" collage of posters and then mounted 9 on Basic Black CS and mounted them on top of the collage.

Now it is time to hop on over to Jackie's, I'm sure you will find inspiration in her work.

  8. Hi Kath, thanks so much for being part of the blog hop. You always have such great projects. It must have been fun for you to work with your son to make that wonderful collage of posters. I love time spent creating with my daughter.

What a great idea, paper-piecing the tree! The resulting 3-D look makes the Sheltering Tree image even more impressive. Love the card. And your fold? Beautiful! Love the colours and the way you've used the Butterfly die-cut in combination with the Painted Blooms DSP.

  13. Spring is here in Abbotsford and we're going to be worrying about drought for sure this year. The cherry blossoms are all out so your 3D spring tree is right in time. Love the colour mix and texture of this card. Your fancy fold card is simply beautiful. I really liked all the little touches and the butterfly. The poster board is really an awesome memento of your son's trip to Japan. It must have been really fun putting it together with him.
