Sale a bration starts today!

I used the Feeling Sentimental stamp set from the Sale a bration flyer and That's the Ticket from the Spring Catalog for this card. I wish it photographed better (I am going to build a light box again, while I was away last summer mine disappeared)
I wanted to try the chalkboard look.

  • The card base is Whisper White with layers of  Island Indigo, Raspberry Ripple and Basic Black CS.
  • I stamped the phrase from Petite Pairs in White Craft on the upper corner of the Black and the image from Feeling Sentimental inn the opposite lower corner. With a cotton ball I swiped so White ink to make eraser smudges.
  • On a scrap of Whisper White CS I stamped the ticket in Raspberry Ripple and then punched them out. The flags are cut from Summer Smooches DSP, I strung them on Island Indigo Bakers Twine (I only noticed as I posted the some of the twine popped out, I will fix it before I add it to the "for sale" cards).
So remember for every $50 you spend you can pick a Sale a bration item!

  2. Love the chalkboard effect. I've used it on a couple of cards lately and it's different every time.

Fun chalkboard card! I've only tried this in MDS but it's a super fun look. Great job!

  4. What a great card showcasing the chalk board technique. The contrast with the blue inks is awesome. I'd like to demonstrate this technique in an upcoming class and would like to CASE your card. Hope it's okay.
