Serene Silhouettes Stampin' Llama Card Swap

It has been longer then I meant for it to be since I last posted. I'll add my non stamping update at the end for anyone that is interested.
The Stampin' Llamas are swapping again, this is my swap, it is a card that a photo does not do it justice.

  • The card base is Naturals White CS, layered with a front of Early Espresso CS, layered again with a 3 3/4"x 5" piece of Glossy CS that I smooshed Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint on. (I wadded up a wrapper off of some new DSP, dabbed in the paint and blotted it all over the Glossy Paper)
  • I sprayed a piece of Soft Suede CS with  Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint Spray then cut it with a Label Framelit using the Big Shot. I layered it centered onto the card front.
  • I inked the image from Serene Silhouettes with Crumb Cake then colored the flowers with an Early Espresso marker, huffed on it then stamped it onto the CS. I cut it with a Label Framelit using the Big Shot. I sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink. I popped it up on the first framelit with Dimensionals.
  • I stamped the phrase from Itty Bitty Banners in Early Espresso onto Naturals White then cut it with the Bitty Banners Framelits. I curled it with a Bone Folder and then added a Dimensional on the back in the center, added adhesive to the ends and added it to the bottom of the image.
I hope the ladies I swap with like the card!

Now an update on the last month... I have been working at Maple Dell Scout Camp this summer (my son is the Captain on the pirate ship in the video) I get up at 5:30 am get ready for the day and head up to the mountain. I manage the Trading Post, it is open 8:30 am until 7:30 pm. I end up getting home between 9 and 11 pm I am working Monday through Saturday with a 7 pm meeting Sunday night, so pretty much I am always at Scout Camp or sleeping. I have a great staff of kids working for me this year. You may have heard that Utah is on fire this year there have been 486 fires with 359,735 acres burned so far. 3 of the fires have been close enough to rain ash on the camp and to make it smoky enough to make those with breathing conditions have difficulty breathing. Another Scout camp had to be evacuated and some of their troops ended up at our camp and will continue coming for the next week or so. So I have found little time to stamp. I will post my swaps as I can, the ladies I swap with do fine work!  Thanks for sticking with me.

  1. It's looks great! The smooshed wrap with shimmer paint sounds much like faux mother of pearl technique.

    Happy Stampin'
